Holiday Reps

Hello Hello!

I'm sick of working for a boooooooooooooooring bank. I can't face anymore closet alcoholic's/menopausal women and miserable funkers in my office any longer!

I've applied to be a holiday rep with a few different tour operators and I'm going to be attending a few assessment days i.e. group interaction all that sort of thing. I also have to do a presentation showing an example of excellent Customer Service that I've given.

Just wondered if any of you guys have ever been a rep and if so could you give me some tips please?!

You never know, you could meet your hot spanish guy or something if you go down this route! :P

Applied to My Travel and Airtours so far. Fingers crossed I'll get one of them, I just think if I dont do it know I never will.

An yes imagine the added bonus of meeting a fit spaniard too! ;)
 
good luck mate hope u have a fab time repping, i am moving out to ibiza nx yr considered repping but could not handle the hangovers :?

not all reps work for 18-30 et al. :lol:

what kind of hols are you looking at doing Karlos? families or young people etc?
 
My cousin's repping in Ibiza.

Unfortunately i don't think i can hold of her to ask her any details (my mother and her sister don't speak :? )

However, i'll mention it and give her a call for you if i can get number.

Stuie - I would prefer to be on a family resort tbh, definately wouldnt be a club rep but I would accept a younger resort if offered.

Next time i speak to mother, i'll see if she can get her number and give her a call - shouldn't be a problem hopefully.

Don't be afraid to remind me in a few days though :oops:
 
My ex worked with First Choice for 3 or 4 years. He loved it.

You get paid a really low wage into your British bank account and you also depend on commission from trips that you sell.

Although the skintness he loved it and says it is well worth it if you fancy a few years out. Good luck.

On the subject one of my mates has just got a job as a rep............with 18-30s 8O :D

They also have admin jobs working in the office aswell which I don't think would be too bad but I think that's where customer's go to complain.
 
*cough* .. excuse me .. I worked for Club 18-30 !!! Albeit it was back in 1982 and the youth back then wasnt quite as slaggy as todays ... it was bloody hard work ... 7 days a week .. from 7.30 until whatever time the punters went home. If they went into San Antonio after a trip then we had to go with them in case they behaved badly, and hang around until they decided they'd had enough !! Utterly exhausting ... but it was something I wanted to do, and I'm one of those people who is determined to do something if I really want to ... dont want to be on my death bed saying .. I wish I had !

Trouble is, that philosophy sometimes got me into amazing scrapes in my youth because of my determination to do whatever it was I fancied doing ... (escaping drug barons on Lefkas just one .. there are loads more, and I can't quite believe how lucky I have been - I had no sense of danger and some tales would make your hair stand on end ! lol)

All I can say is .. go for it ... at least with a "famiily" company you get a day off in the week ! (Tho 18-30 probably give you time off nowadays)
