I think you're ok up to the end of March and then the rainy season starts. We got it into our head we wanted to spend next NYE in Thailand at the wkend and nearly booked 4 flights when we were funked 8O

I love arranging things whilst trollied, always such a good idea at the time!

What are the best parts of Thailand (minimal brit abroad types) I know that makes me sound like a snob but I don't want to travel 14 hours and feel like i'm still in blighty.

Sri Lanka looks nice too.

I'm thinking about going somewhere hot in March to, but it will have to be closer to home...cant quite afford long haul.

May have to be The Canaries again I think:D

Ask Robder when he's online tomorrow or Jamie if he pops in to say hi, they've both been, Jamie was saying at the wkend the best places to go but I've obviously forgotten everything he said :?

Nothing like planning a holiday to beat the January blues ;)

i wish i had money to do so :(

january blues are a killer this year. dog almost got put down today and ive had to give up my second job so it looks unlikely my June trip to Eat Pizza is gonna come off now (gutted).

Oops, blatant thread hijack! Thailand sounds fantastic. If you have the means then do it!!

People often skip over the Philippines, but its one of my favourite destinations in SE Asia..march/april is an excellent time to go

boracay has some of the clearest waters I've seen anywhere.. with white white sand

google-images boracay and you'll see what I mean. You can live pretty cheaply too and stay in decent accomodation. The north of the country, sagada, batad, banue has some amazing scenery as well.
