Hiring a small PA sound system?

Hi.

Staying in jet apartments this year. I wanna bring small midi controller with me. Whats the story on hiring a small PA system?? low wattage. Would the hotel allow live mix off the balcony during the day? It's just a thought. I could bring a self powered amp but traveling with this would be bit much.. Tnx :p
 
Think you would may pi$$ a few people off playing on the balcony with a decent volume. Also being based in Playa Den Bossa, someone may rough you up a bit if it was too loud (it wouldn't happen in San Antonio mind)

Why not just take decent PC speakers and use them in the room? I have done that before and you can get a decent sound. I have also taken a cable and plugged my Soundcard through the TV a couple of times and got a cracking sound.
 
it was fairly noisy there 24/7 last time i stayed there. i stayed in another place and they had removed the scart from the TV. im bringing speakers anyways just it was just a thought get something small wattage
 
if you get a front seaveiw room you have no need to bring anything.as you will hear bora bora at 4pm.or a side room next to bora bora.you may piss a few next to you though or below or above you.safe on weight and hassle.don;t bother.
 
yea waiting on word. better be sea view! last time made friends with all the neighbors and partied on. fuk it so just bring tunes&speakers. just wanted a mix over there cheers

I would check first of all that all the rooms around you don't mind having to listen to your choice of music.

There are many genres of dance music, which some of us like and some of us do not.

If I was next door to a room who decided to start having a mix on their balcony I would be highly cheesed off.

Want to listen to music, then go to a bar/club etc
 
emm you might have been better off staying at ushuaia,then you could of learn how to mix right etc.as they do courses.and you can have decks in your room.
 
have a great holiday, and remember its horses for courses here, there is a time for cha cha slide, guetta vs black lace, and there is a time for just a bit of quiet too.

we have cordless ear phones for the telly, absolutely brilliant, and rhubarb and custard ear plugs too for siesta's.
