Hiring a decent boat

Last year my girlfriend and I got a ferry to Formentera and hired a small motor boat.

This year there is 4 of us and we fancy getting something a bit bigger/posher and spending at least a day travelling around the island and visiting the more hidden beaches (and Atlantis).

Does anyone know of anywhere that hires a wide selection of boats at reasonable prices, and how much do you think something like this would cost:

More to the point - would we need some kind of licence to hire something of that size? Anyway, it doesn't have to be that good...something smaller will do!

I'd love to hear stories/advice from anyone else who has done this.

have looked at chartering a boat for 6 people, can cost from 800 Euros upwards for a day, plus fuel. Do a google search there are loads of sites
