its fine, i did it last year for the first time, was a bit nervy for the first couple of minutes but you get used to it and the drivers over there arnt as bad as you think. First time i drove i mounted the kerb as wasnt used to driving on the other side.

Just make sure you have the right insurance and book with someone reputable, either pick up the car from the airport or somewhere in your resort. Best to try and book something now though as if your going in peak season most of the companies tend to get booked up in advance if they arnt alredy!

goin next week. to be honest im not bothered about driving.

are there ways to Cala H'ort other than by hire car?

Is there a way to arrange for taxis to pick you up?

i would hire a car no question.. It is actually much cheaper than getting taxis.. and there are some small small beaches that taxis may not go to ( I don't know) like Cala'den sera

Anyway, its much more fun to drive your car and leave when you want... and so much cheaper.

I'm from Canada, so the drivingon that side is no problem, but when I've driven in other countries, where its on the other side, it takes about 45 seconds to get used to it.

someone should start up a Ibiza Chauffeur driver service for clubbers.

Perhaps in a old pink cadillac 8)

I'd agree, it's not as big a deal as you might think. Some Spanish drivers tend to be a little impatient and lean on the horn a bit, especially if you have people behind you and you're pulling out on to a busy road. I had this happen a few times in Ibiza town, but just ignore it and take your time. Ibiza Town is a bit mad but otherwise the roads and villages are lovely. It is really worth hiring a car and seeing more of the island. Cala d'Hort is one of my fave haunts too - crazy parking on the little road down into it though!
