Looking to sample some of this next time I go to Ibiza, having never done so before...

Unfortunately I know very little about it, - I Does it come in shot form, or short?

How much are you likely to pay for a glass/shot etc of this at a Ibizan bar, and how much do you think a bottle of this would be in the supermarkets

Usually as a shot or over ice. Last year in a certain back street bar in Es Cana (can't remember the name) it was 1.50 or 2€ depending on who poured,other places are likely to be more. You can pick up a bottle for around 12-15€

I dont suppose the back street bar was the tres esquinas was it? - Cant think of any other ones like that

Completely missed this whilst I was out there last year and read all about it and it's entire back story about two weeks too late. Fortunately girlfriends brother picked me a bottle up on his honeymoon (actually the one in the top right of the picture above) so I've tried it finally.

Only tried it in shot form, it's quite a mellow taste, not sharp at all.
 
It's ok in a shot but the taste is over too quickly for me, I prefer it over ice in a brandy balloon (with a bottle of water as a chaser! lol).... Helps the throat, purely medicinal you understand!!! 8O :roll: :lol:
 
You definitely need to sip it if you have it in a glass, besides which it's much more pleasurable that way. If you have it as a shot it's a bit like pernod
 
sorry I am in a hurry..what does it taste like???

are they like a liqueur?
or harsher like wishkey ?
 
yes looks like pernod/ricard (pastis the word in french language for this beverage) a kind a liquor that you can drink with ice or raw...People give you shot for free at restaurant ..they say its good gor digestion...& it makes you alive & kicking ..

is there any Mari Mayans (2 rank bottom row) bottle in supermarket vipercentro/mercardona ? price of 20 cl bottle please?
