Prepare and get ready Techno heads, another pilgrimage to Ministry of Sound is on the horizon for a clash of the titans, a meeting of original heroes that will surely blow your mind. Techno has always had and remains to have the ability to bring to the fore extraordinary, forward thinking artists, changing the landscape of dance music forever and paving the way for things like the Minimal revolution.
Since his humble but foretelling beginnings in Chicago’s fledgling dance music scene, Derrick May has been such a force, an innovator and brave visionary who first heard the potential and magic in what would become a Techno beat. Detroit remains proud of this heritage, but it was not alone in spawning great talent, a thriving underground scene was also growing up in Chicago, with a sound being pushed forward by iconic House Music maestro, Derrick Carter.
Now these two great heroes are coming together for a head to head battle on Saturday the 19th April 08, a Derrick V's Derrick, Detroit V's Chicago show down that has sent ripples of excitement around the music world. In the Bar we welcome 'Kosmik Messenger' Stacey Pullen for a special extended 4hr set joined by Techno veteran Jim Masters.
In association with Radio 1xtra, this historic event is going to be broadcast around the country on their radio waves, bringing the sound of the American underground to our green and pleasant land.
