Here We Go Again!!!!!

Fellow Enthusiasts,

I am coming back to the island again July 31st-August 9th, and I cannot wait! For those of you that did not read my NYE review, that was my first time and it blew my mind.

I have 5 like-minded individuals in my party, that I recruited after hours of telling them story after story, of what an amazing place Ibiza really is.
Now I have some how been put in charge of setting up the logistics of everything...i.e where to stay.


So, I need your help! Where is the best place to stay? We are late twenty somethings, love House!! Let me repeat LOVE HOUSE MUSIC!!! We want to be by a beach, and we want to be in close proximity to Space, I think.

We would also probably want to have an apartment, so we could have a fridge, and possibly play music loudly at any given moment.

The clubs that I know we will go to are Pacha, DC10, Amnesia, and Space!
Pacha Fri, hopefully with Pete Tong...
(1st track "History of Disco" on essential mix live in London, Turnmills 1999 f'ng sets it off!! If you have never heard it, get your hands on a copy immediately)...
Pete is still the man, and I cannot wait to hear and see him live!!!
Saturday, I would go to Pacha again, because I am sure it would be off the hook, and completely different night! Unless someone on here has better info?
I have to pay respects to Graham Sahara working hard in the funky room, and show love to Ms. Jade Jagger up on the terrace ( i just saw your daddy live Jade, he still rocks the house!)

Sunday -WE LOVE Space!! I am truly more excited for this than anything else.

Monday- DC10 baby! I will still be up, I have cohorts this time if the women want to nap. I cannot wait to hear Tania Vulcano! She Rocks!!

So, I still have Wed, Thurs and the next Tues to accomadate for. Where do I go? What will be good? Is it too soon to tell?

Are there other clubs that you think we would enjoy? House Music in the air?

I am already doing a countdown clock to the day of departure, that is the dedication we are talking about here people.

Any, feedback, help, tips, you can give me would be soooo appreciated!

Jet Apartments! Right next to Bora Bora/Beach and a stones throw away from Space!
 
on monday....after dc 10.....comme back home....take some rest...and go to pacha for roger sanchez:best house music,best people,best atmosphere...................

I agree with Ralpy for your monday-plan. Roger Sanchez at Pacha. The coolest party for me and friends on monday.

My personal favourites of last season, were, like you We Love... on Sunday, then the mighty DC10 on Monday - Tania Vulcano is now one of my fave DJs - I will say this though it is well hard going and intanse if you go there with no sleep as it gets uncomfortably busy and there's nowhere to chill out and relax! You can go in and out with a stamp though and Bora Bora is only a 15 minute walk away! Cocoon on Monday night at Amnesia was absolutely immense as well: top quality techno 8) Tuesdays were Defected at Pacha. This night shocked me at how good it was, excellent house music with live percussion from Shovel and the best atmosphere :DWednesdays were always worth going to Mr C's night at Underground. Undergrounf is an amazing little club. Its beautiful, plays wicked music and free!! :D 8) Thursdays were either **** Me I'm Famous, Ministry Of Sound or Yo****oshi or there's always Monza at Penelope's - I never got chance to go to this but its supposed to be brilliant. :D Fridays, as you said there's Pure Pacha but also Made In Italy at Amnesia which is AMAZING! I was well surprised but it was one of my favourite nights of the whole season. Saturday you can just collapse :lol: :lol:x
 
I just booked the JET APARTMENTS, everything is official!!!! I am so excited and It is six months away. I will be on the isle for 8 days which is double my last trip, that means my next review will be even better!!!!
Thank you everyone who responded, you guys are giving me alot to consider. I am so excited that Bora Bora is right in front of my apartment!!!
Anyway, I will see some of you in Ibza!

Its always nice to someone who's booked and so excited to go.. makes me remind myself to get booking... I normally don't book until 2 months before at the earliest!

my advise: go to amnesia on monday, cocoon is truly brilliant, and then to pacha on thursday for deep dish!!! (hopefully they play when you're there, last year they played only every forthnight!)
 
Cocoon sounds like a real treat and not to be missed! I will have to give it a go!
I actually love Deep Dish as well. I had the chance to meet Ali & Sharam when they played @ Sound-bar in Chicago for the "George is On" tour. They were both stand up guys, both gentleman and true rock stars, it was fantastic to meet them. I was up in their V.I.P area, and I requested a track, and Ali gladly did the favor.
They played eight hours straight between the two of them, it was nothing short of brilliant! That was the first time I heard "Sacramento", which even got the drunks moving! When they played "Dreams" it was surreal!! It was like a 20 minute version that just stirred through you, it was mind-blowing! I was perma-grin!!!
Needless to say, if the Yo****oshi boys are in town, I am there. I will cross my fingers on that one.
If I had a DJ wish list for when I am there (8/1/06-8/9/06), it would be in no particular order...PVD, AVB, Tiesto, Pete Tong, Frankie Knuckles, Felix Da house cat, Tania Vulcano, Fatboy Slim, Seb fontaine, Deep Dish, Sander Kleinenberg, Daft Punk, Mylo, Ferry Corsten, Groove Armada, Steve Lawler, Carl Cox, Sarah Main, Benny Benassi, Francesco farfa, Troy Pierce, & Locodise...if I see any of them, I will be thrilled!!!
So if any of the DJ's listed above read this, see if you can get on the calendar for the dates when I am there, lol.

If you want to see Armen Van Buuren he did his night 'Armada' at Amnesia every Tuesday last year and it was a huge success :D
 
Monday
If you go to DC10, you'd better arrive there around 4 p.m., it's the best time to arrive. So, go to WLS, get some rest and then go to DC10 and from there straight to Pacha, for Release Yourself. Moday's in Ibiza is always a problem, because there's Release Yourself @ Pacha, Manumission @ Privilege, Cocoon @ Amnesia. I prefer Cocoon, although last year I went twice to Manumission. If you've never been there, it's worth the visit, but the music is nothing special, (you are allowed to go in and out of Manumission with one ticket). Whatever you decide, don't miss the Manumission Carry On @ Space, on Tuesday morning.

Tuesday
If you're a trance fan, Tuesday night there's Armin van Buuren, he's perfect. He's playing in the main room @ Amnesia. Last year, @ the Terrace there was Sundown BCN, nothing special. But also on Tuesdays last year, there was Carl Cox @ Space. But you can always go to sleep and just wake up for the after party on Wednesday: In Bed with Space.

Wednesday
You can't miss La Troya @ Amnesia on Wednesday. It's know as the best party on the island and is very fun. If you're tired of going to Pacha, Amnesia is a good choice. Wed nights @ Pacha is Erick Morillo. If you can, go to the after Troya party @ Space, on Thurday morning.

Thurday
Either stay home or go for Cream @ Amnesia if you're really into trance.

Friday
Pure Pacha is, imo, the best option on Friday night. But don't get too wasted, because the best party on the island is Saturday morning.

Saturday Morning
THE BEST PARTY ON THE ISLAND: MATINEE! Believe me, if you arrive there at 10 a.m. the party is going crazy until later than 4 p.m., I left Space at 5:30 p.m. and the music was going on and on... And it's only an after-hours party... My advice: go to Pete Tong @ Pacha then leave for Matinee and write a nice review.
 
I have never heard of Matinee, where is that? What type of music is it? What kind of crowd does it attract?

Matinee is a party produced by the Matinee Group, they are the same producers of the Souvenir Party in Barcelona. It's supposed to be a gay party, just like La Troya, but you can bet that over 50% of the public are straight people, just like La Troya. I don't know how it's gonna be in the first week of August (the first 2 weeks of August are the gay season in Ibiza).

There isn't any superstar DJ, but you'll listen to excellent music varying from house, some funky house and electro.

Matinée is @ Space (Holly Space!)

Conrado - do you know if your friend Jenny, the one from Germany who worked as a Pacha beach girl last year, will be working in Ibiza this year?
