I am going with a group of mates and we are stayin at the Nautilus in San Antonio Bay. Have many people here stayed there? Is it easy to get around once you are there - like is it normal to go to the other side of the island to go to a big club or would you stick to the area round your hotel? We are all Ibiza Virgins... and wanna get it right! Any help would be much appreciated!!!

definately go to the other side of the island! you can catch the party bus and go to ibiza town all day and night!

San Antonio Bay area is very nice and you have two clubs, Eden and Es Paradis in the bay. There's also some cool bars along the bay, Bar M and Itaca to name a couple. At the end of the bay you also have Cafe del Mar, Mambo and Savannah beach bar - all excellent for the sunsets.

However, the better clubs, in my opinion are out of San Antonio. Theres regular buses from some of the bars and taxis are fairly cheap. Pacha, Privelige, Space, Amnesia and El Divinos are all well worth a look.

So don't tie yourself down to the bay area, there's so much more to experience on the island. Go for it and enjoy

britincoronado - the island is small, everything is just a short bus/taxi/boat ride away and the clubs are spread quite evenly over the island.

in the bay you have club summum and kumharas which is just as good a place to catch the sunset as any of the sunset bars in San An town.

welcome to the forums ;)

Sorry to pick Pip, but for clarity it should be pointed out that the clubs and bars you mention aren't in San Antonio Bay but the town of San Antonio, which is 20 mins walk away from San An Bay.

No problem Stuie - I always thought that was the bay area - my mistake

Right, im going to sound a wee bit stupid and ignorant here but...

can anyone describe where San An Bay ends and San An Town begins...

What is the difference exactly?

i suppose you could say that san an ends at its boundary with san jose which is at playa puet by the hotel hawaii. this is where the promenade finishes. beyond that is usually referred to as san antonio bay by holiday companies.

they are next to each other, san antonio town is the area of the sunset strip (Calo des Moro), fountains square, west end, eden & es paradis round to KFC, Bar M etc.

san antonio bay is along the long promenade with lots more family hotels and more sand and includes Cala de Bou (Kumharas etc)
