I need a LOT of advice from my fellow lovers of Ibiza. I have spent many happy trips to Ibiza as a single clubber. However in August I am taking my wife and baby son for the first time. I'm at a loss and need recommendations for the following:-
(1) Location: Up to now I've always stayed in Talamanca, Playa D-en Bossa or San Jesus (don't ask). This time I want somewhere a bit more remote but close to beaches and not too far from Ibiza Town. My thinking to date is Cala Jondal/ San Jose/ Cala Vedella. I've only day tripped round the more remote north east of the island - is it a good location? whilst I've never been a fan of San An. Should I venture somewhere new, more rural or beach or stay in talamanca. playa den bossa doesnt appeal as to me its too much of a holiday resort. i may as well be in tenerife. So please suggest your ideal location to stay in Ibiza
(2) House rental: there are going to be 3 couples and two babies. has anybody been there done that with their kids in recent times and found the 'must stay' place. our budget is max £3250 for the week, ideally £2500. pool is a must as is air-con. now i'm becoming grown up but have a baby that isn't, a child friendly house/ villa/ apartment would be good. where is your 'must stay' place and please tell me if you think there is a hotel or alternative that better suits our needs than a rented house.
(3) Fine dining: I've enjoyed my leisurely evenings at km5 and the Sa Punta as well as around Ibiza town before heading off clubbing. Now we will be taking it more sedate, can anyone recommend somewhere for us to have the perfect evening wining and dining the wives?
(4) Baby sitting: this has to pass the wife test but is there any reliable baby-sitting service or does anyone know of a villa/ apartment set up where there is a babysitting service available??
(5) Finally, bit off the radar this one, but I've always wanted to stay there but scared of missing out on ibiza. Formentera, YES or NO??
This is a real indulgence by me. I'll really appreciate any help or advice you can give. I am so keen for all my Ibiza virgins to become converts, especially my beautiful wife!!
Thanks folks
