Help Needed - Please !

Hey,

Went to Ibiza, couple of years back, however did it package and cost £300 odd for a week and hated the whole English holiday reps trying to get you to play eat the cream of the fat northern bird etc. So this year, want to get an apartment, perhaps a hotel for seven lads near the West End. Not for the want of trying or time can I find anything suitable. Please, if any of you can find time in your busy lifes to just tell me a site to go on or something ? Also, I'm starting to realise seven is a crap number and we will have to pay supplements ( ? ) and any information on cheap flights would also be helpful.

a good job if travelling in a larger group is to hire a villa. You'll find it really surprising how cheap you can find a place for. When my friends did it a year ago they got an 8 person villa, pool, BBQ, etc, etc for £250 per person for a week.

obvious disadvantage is that you'll need to sort your own flights but there are direct flights to ibiza from leeds, london, midlands, newcastle (i think?) and you'll prob need to hire a car as villas tend to be off the beaten track.

do a search on google for ibiza villas and you'll find millions of websites.

i reckon if you shopped around you get a private villa and flights there and back for not that much more per person than you paid for your package last time (and there'll be no reps trying to bug you;) ).

What Grego said - for the first year we did a hotel and I said never again - too much noise and too many people on days where you really just cant cope - we went for the villa option the next year and have done that for the past 6 years now - you will never go back to a hotel again after doing it this way. 8) 8) 8)

On average you can expect to pay from £700 a week up to silly amounts so plenty to choose from and when you divided it between 7 you can be pleasantly surprised, book your flights well enough in advance for best prices too.

You tend to spend less when you are in villa too, as you have all the facilities of home, you do a big shop on arrival at one of the many big supermarkets and that's it all your food and drink in one go and you dont spend extra cash on snacks and stuff when you are out.....

Thanks for your responses, but as to Villas in Ibiza, most of them seem to up in the hills and we would prefer to be close to the West End area. The function on the spotlight website does not give preference to number of people or dates as you said though, have I done something wrong ? Currently about 10 hours spent on the Internet looking for this and am nearly considering paying ruddy Thomson millions more just for the simplicity.
 
Villas are a great option. The best near San An are probably as you said in the hills above San An or in the Bay. But if you chose to stay in a hotel, don't pick one right in the west end. Too noisy at night, and in the morning when you want to sleep all these street-sweepers start to work. Why not a hotel in the Bay? I hear they are cheaper.
 
Hi, thanks for all your help. Turns out what we are getting is was right here on this site as someone above said... I think we were just scared of the word Hostal, but it looks okay and more importantly cheap. www.ibiza-spotlight.com/valencia , anyone stayed here of have any opinions on it ?
