Help me get there!!

Want to head out to Eivissa in late Sept. Thought I'd shun the "package" deal and do it myself, that way I could choose my own accomodation. I've found a lovely little place to stay, it's reasonable, good location, I'm very happy with it.

Problem is, now it's time to book the flights. I didn't expect this to be a big problem really. Oh how wrong I was! I'm finding it next to impossible to find an airline that'll fly directly to IBZ from DUB (Dublin, Ireland). What I want to do is fly DUB - IBZ on the way out and fly IZA - LDN on the way back, then head from London to Brighton (for Big Beach Boutique 4) and then back to Ireland later.

I've tried loads of variations, flying directly from Dublin, flying to the UK and then on to Ibiza, Flying to Barça and then on to Ibiza, nothing is coming of it. I have found a couple of options that would work, but the flights end up costing more than the accomodation for an 8 night stay!! The cheapest I could find were €300!

I've tried

  • Ryanair
  • Aer Lingus
  • Thomson
  • FlyBMI
  • BMIBaby
  • FlyBe
  • British Airways
  • Iberia
  • Spanair
  • lastminute.com
  • latedeals.com
and probably more (through links) that I can't remember.

Can anyone help me find a way to get to Ibiza for a reasonable price?

I'm wondering if I were to leave the flights til the last minute, look them up again in late August or early September would I get a better deal? I'm just worried that I'll book the hotel and not have any way of actually getting there!

i'm amazed that you think €300 for 3 flights is unreasonable. i'd snap their arms off and sit secure in the knowledge that my hols were booked.

???
From Dublin? That's Dublin, Ireland, not Dublin California.
Accomodation is only costing €220 for 8 nights and travel agents are selling 7 night trip for €384 inclusive. €384 for 7 nights accomodation and the flights.

The inclusive price? No, if you're going to go down the package route you have the luxury of a direct flight to and from your city. No having to catch a plane in a different country at all.

Among looking up many options I did check into having the aeroplane "pick me up" in London and "drop me off" in London but, as far as I am aware there is no airport in Brighton.

Maybe I should press the little bell and see if the pilot will let me off a stop earlier.

Wait, do you think €300 is for the flight from Dublin to Ibiza, then Ibiza to London, then London to Dublin? It's not.

heading out
Fri 19/09/08 - DUB - LVL - €9.99
Fri 19/09/08 - LVL - IBZ - £20.99

coming back
Sat 27/09/08 - IBA - LDN - £38.99
