Help me find Trance!!!

We all know about the major trance nights but is there any bars which are dedicated to trance??

Im sick of house, funky house, electro house, tree house :( and need a change of scenery.

I am willing to travel anywhere on the island for some places (stayn in San An).

PLEASE HELP!!!!
 
Apparently the coolture cafe in Figueretas doe the cream pre party on a Thursday. You would think they would play trance, I don't haven't been, but may try & find it tomorrow as I am landing in Ibiza tonight! 8)
 
a small bar up the west called tropi has a young dj on most nights that plays trance all night.bar across from sin the lapdancing club.

Mate, the Island is run by House music, Trance is a music on It's last limbs! Should of died 5 years ago!

So Tiesto, Judgement Sundays and Cream being packed to the rafters means trance is on its last limbs.....Canny fresh organs them like!

Im sure a lot of other people wouldnt mind something different than bloop bloop bloop bloop in every bar 8)

trance is so far from dead ... Cream, Judgement Sunday and Tiesto are 3 of the biggest club nights in Ibiza. People are coming to Ibiza to hear trance as much, if not more, than house.

plus a look at the most popular dj´s in the world will lead you to Armin van Buuren, Tiesto and Paul van Dyk ... who play ... you got it ... trance !

For the record, i´m not a trance fan - although i enjoy nights out Armada and Cream.
 
If anything House is on the slide these days globally. I'm a House head but over the last 10 years the quality of music being produced has got poorer and poorer.

In my opinion the Trance and Techno nights are the main draw in Ibiza these days.

Dan, I thought you where an intelligent man?! You of all people know the 'Best DJ in the world' 'brought to you by DJ Mag' is the biggest waste of time ever! It's full of American kids getting on the internet for vote for their 'fave trance dj' It's all a load of bollocks! and has been for the past 10 years! :spank:

When I say 'House' I also include Techno btw... I don't mean just 'Housey music'

What would you have said a couple of years ago when trance had MUCH MORE in common with techno than house did. Before techno progressed, slowed down and started to have commonalities with house.


Genre bashing is so ridiculous. Taste is subjective, and not just in music, in everything we do. Art, cars, music, food, friends, lovers, weather, just about anything you can name. It's not up to someone else to determine what the original poster likes, or what kind of music appeals to anyone else.

Variety is the spice of life, if i ever went somewhere that every club night, DJ, restaurant and woman appealed to me, i would probably shoot myself out of boredom.

Spend more time focusing on what you enjoy and less on others and I assure you, you will enjoy life a great deal more.

Alright mate, calm down! - It's in my 'taste' that Trance is ****e, simple... lol

I think you wrong about Trance having more in Common with Techo than House btw... I'm not too sure many Techno heads would like that comment! - I've been listening to this music for a LONG TIME now and I mainly listen to an array of DJ's like Tenaglia, Mills, Cox, Hawtin, Garnier etc... I can safely say that their sound over the past 2-3 years has consisted of Techno with splashings of House/Tech house etc and NOT Techno & Trance... 'Tech Trance' EWWW!!!! LOL

Hmm! glad to see I've started a debate in here! ;)
 
Trance rocks, only reason i have gone to the island for the last 4yrs, Techno is minimalistic poo!

Thats my opinion my "mate", people are welcome to there opinions but please leave your b!tchy debates in your "House" :D
 
Red you really are a right tool aren't you. I'm not a huge fan of house but went to a few nights with me mates, had a dance to it anyway and liked the odd tune. They felt the same about Tiesto and PVD, they actually got on with a few of the tunes and had a good night. Why does it have to be so black and white? This is ****, that isn't etc, :roll:

If you include completely different genres like Techno and call them House then I suppose you could include D&B and Polka in there as well.

At the end of the day Trance is likely still comparably popular to House. DJ Mag polls aside, you can't argue with the massive pull that Tiesto, Pvd, Armin, Ferry, and loads of other top DJs have. That said, in my book there's only one DJ who still does Trance properly and that's John Fleming. :)
 
sorry had to have my say here...

whoever says trance is dead or dying is quite ridiculously wrong... like sum1 has said, the top DJs in the world are trance DJ's... the main nights in Ibiza are trance nights... I am a massive trance fan and am bound to say this but still the facts dont lie...

i am also a house fan dont get me wrong, love warming up to a massive night with some house music to get the mood right, but it would be nice to see a few more bars down the west end area dedicated to more trance music...

now lets all go get mangled :lol:

I'd rather drop the soap in a prison shower and bend over to pick it up in front of a big black man than listen to trance!
