Help: Getting to Ibiza from Valencia?

I am coming to Ibiza at the end of August from Valencia. I know ferry is the best option. I am in my preliminary stage of researching my transportation.
For now I am coming alone but that could change if my 3 friends are coming along last minute.

Can anyone point me to the right direction?
Is there a specific ferry company I should go with?
What are the cost?
How long is the ferry ride? Are there schedule posted on when the ferry leaves Valencia?
Should I take the ferry from Valencia to Ibiza Town or Valencia to San Antonio and cab my ass to Ibiza town?
Do I need to book my ferry ride online in advance or I can buy it the day of?

I am sure I have more questions but post away to help a newbie out please :D

[h=2]Ibiza from Valencia ferrys.pick your best option and price.yes book return.depends where you are staying wether to go to san an or ibiza town.buses run from both places cheap to both resorts and vs.[/h]

Good luck valencia has baleria and there is another company that docks specifically at san antonio port.

I am doing the exact same journey on the 29th from Valencia city centre to Ibiza town centre. There is a service that Stephen above linked runs from Valencia to Ibiza town centre, it runs overnight from 10pm to 5 in the morning. As I understand that is the only option from Valencia to Ibiza town by ferry. I'll be booking mine on line in advance to travel overnight on the 29th, my Ibiza stay starts on 30th. Are you coming from tomatina too?

Yeah, I'm thinking it may be better to go to San An, spend a night there and on the next morning head to PDB instead of spending the day in Valencia and doing an overnighter.

I decided to fly from VLC to IBZ instead. The ferry schedule does not work with my schedule and I hate to leave Valencia at 10:50pm and arrive Ibiza the next day at 5:15am.

It will take 35 minutes to fly in from VLC to IBZ so I get a whole day on Aug 29 to explore.

@London2Ibiza Yes I am coming to Ibiza after La Tomatina :)

PDB is like 20 mins away, unless you're really interested in staying in San An for a night?
