Anyone hear anything about Hed Kandi in 07 in Ibiza? Will they be at El Divino on Saturdays, again? Will they be doing the Es Vive pool party? Any information would be lovely?

It normally is, but there has been no word as of yet. That's the only night I haven't planned for, already lol
The thing is (I think) that Hed Kandi is not Hed Kandi as it used to be since Mark Doyle left and started a new label: Fierce Angels. He especially was a friend of the guy at Es Vive (forgot his name, Jason something ???). He's also the owner of Base Bar in the Ibiza town harbor.
Last year Hed Kandi moved back to El Divino from Pacha where they had the saturday night. Nothing bad about El Divino, but if you host a night at Pacha and have to go back to El Divino.. Feels like a step back to me..

the fact hed kandi is not hed kandi anymore is common knowledge. practically none of the old kandi fans care much about the new night or about the compliation releases now (part of MOS label). jason bull is his name.
but is it a step back though. hosting a second room, to defmix, at pacha on a saturday night is hardly setting the world on fire. If i was a promoter, i'd prefer to have my own night and "get rich or die tryin" rather than have a busy room only cos 1) it's pacha 2) it's saturday night 3) defmix have got a good lineup so it is busy.
el divino is perfect for hed kandi in it's current guise.
Yeah u're right. I overlooked the fact that Def Mix do the saturday nights @ Pacha and Hed Kandi only had the Funky Room (or was it the Global Room?).
Anyway, I agree with you that hosting a clubnight of your own is much better than being second @ Pacha. Or at least much more authentic.
If I would go to Def Mix (which I am goint to do this year!) I wouldn't really care which promotor was doing the other rooms.
And yeah, El Divino and Hed Kandi fit perfectly together
They were @ Pacha one year on saturdays, together with Def Mix! Only thing is, noboby really cared much about it.

Well, you should know, for some reason I have this memory in my head that they went from El Divino to Pacha and back to El Divino last year. But I'm obviously wrong. Don't take it out on me, Ibiza memories are some of the most unreliable in my case

I personally think hed kandi are over rated i work in a bar called bambu in birmingham and they play first friday of every month, i also dont think there CD's compilations are that great either, but it could be because i hear them once a month and thats why i am a bit bored of them
