I love musiiiiiiiic" .. sang The O`Jays ... blimey folks, I aint heard that played outside the Saffy^Patio for yonks, but last night I heard it ... stopped me in my verballing tracks it did !

Haven't been to a Hed Kandi night since Ibiza in July ... to be honest, I've sort of been a bit "kadied out" ..

Looking at it from a fresh perspective .. these guys certainly know how to throw one hell of a party !

From the moment we got in (around 10.45 ish), the place was bouncing ! No matter where people were they couldnt stop their bodies moving ... twas quite bizarre to watch from a "hardly any alcohol and no drugs" point of view ... tho, fantastic, all the same.

To all it's knockers .. you really are pissing in the wind guys, cos no matter what, Hed Kandi has one of THE BEST nights around at the mo. You can moan to your heart's content, nothing is going to change it ...

Actually .. what is it you're moaning about? Are some of you so stuck up your own arses in supposed "vinyl knowledge", that you cant lower yourself <-- using that term loosely .. to acknowledge that hey, it's not your cup of tea, but you really have to admit, Hed Kandi is bringing some, not only commercial releases to the public eye, but some pretty good soulful shit too! I can bet .. 100%, that, on one Kandi CD somewhere, there is a track you couldnt do without ... so, that being the case, how can you call them shit?

One of my all time favourite tunes .. and one which will always remind me of this era of clubbing, is Solu Music .. Fade .. in all it's variations .. from the original to housed up ... Last night I was sat down having a drink when this came on, and two girls near me jumped up and started dancing / hugging / singing / smiling ... I captured that image in my head, to keep ... it summed up a typical Hed Kandi night for me .. smiley people, happy tunes .... what more can one ask of a night ..

I'm re converted ...

.. and apparently, the next albumn release is a BELTER !

Saffy you took the words right out of my mouth there darling :D :D

Mark handed us a copy of the new Album on Friday, weve not listened to it yet but from looking at the track listing its another corker.

Every Kandi night that i go to it just gets better and better and the boys were on top form on Friday really enjoying themselves with the crowd and that for me is what really lifts me. To see that they are having a blast.

They have time for people and not every DJ has the ability to do that most have got their heads so far up their own arses im surprised they can even see the decks

Thanks guys for a whole year at Hed Kandi, its been a great year, not only have you gave me something to look forward to but it will always have a special place in my heart as thats where me & Joey met each other in person for the first time :D

Keep it Kandi ;)

Thats a bit harsh saffy. I don't like hed kandi, and i'm more than sure you won't like some of the djs i like, but that doesn't mean i have the right to criticise and challenge your choice and personal opinon.

I introduced a steadfast drum n bass nut to Hed Kandi for the first time on Friday night. He was kicking and screaming about coming but did it cos it was my birthday - and he funkin LOVED IT! Didnt stop dancing ALL night lol. Was great to see someone who had previously given me so much greif for liking it holding their hands up and saying they cant wait to go back

do you think you lot are ever go to another night other than hk

Yep ... my musical preference has to be Urban and more soulful house really ... but I enjoy Hed Kandi nights because it's such a SHOW ...
:D And yes, I do go to other nights ... D.I.Y/Smokescreen/Safe and Sound/Shivoo/Pin Up/Urban Gorilla, to name a few ....
