Have you guys in the Europe seen this show? In the US it is on HBO. The last show was this past Sunday. If y'all have watched the series, then what did y'all think about it? Discuss.
 
I know the question was for euro people, but I LOVE this show! Sex, violence, plotting, history, what more can you ask for? I really liked the initial actor for octavian though, wish they wouldn't have changed him...
 
BBC ran a series like this about 6 months ago, focusing on a different emperor each week.

Is this the same thing??

yeah it was a joint show between HBO and BBC I think?

I missed it, might try and get it on DVD as lots of people have said it's excellent.
 
It was a collaboration with BBC but it was not about the 12 Caesars. It started with Julius Caesar and ended with Octavian becoming the First Citizen.

Yup! That is the one. The ratings for the show went down over the past two seasons, which is why they are capping it off. I, however, thought that the show was really good. I thought all actors did a pretty good job; especially Polly Walker.

maybe we'll get the second series here soon, cos as far as i know we've only had one.

as you say tho LB, the acting, especially those in the lead roles, is superb.:D
