Has anyone ever done a hotel name change with Travel Republic?

There is a potential that one of our party may not be able to travel to Ibiza with us on 24th August. There is someone who can fill the place. I would noy be cancelling, merely changing the names of one of the PAX. We have two rooms booked.

The TR website is a little vague on its charges. Surely it cant be that difficult to do.

Anyone had a similar experience with them or any other of those hotel providers (OTB, Medhotels etc etc)?

it wouldn't cost a penny if you did it through spotlight.

Its times like these that you realise who the best companies are. Its really put a downer on my holiday as the person who potetially cant come is our childsitter for the week. I have literally paid for the majority of her (the mother in law) trip and planned my whole year around it. I even worked last Christmas to pay for her to go. I wont go into a lot of detail why she cant go but she wants to be able attend a funeral of someone who isnt even dead yet.

you wont need to change the name ,as long as the lead passenger is there. The hotel doesnt care as long as they have been paid.good luck

Thanks very much for your reply.

Have you had personal experience of this? I am the lead passenger and will be there. There are names all over the accom voucher. Surely they will check these against passports etc?

On the other hand, my gut instinct is that I have paid for the rooms not PP so it will not be an issue perhaps. I am quite aprehensive about the whole situation.

I have when I went to Prague on a stag to Prague this year. Don't worry, as long as they can provide all relevant documentation like passport when you check in, you'll be fine.

funny thomson and thomas cook never ask this info.but on futher looking you don;t really need to for spain.its just a way off getting info from you with the likes of easyjet and bmi baby.and making money if you don;t give it to them when booking.plus making it better for them when you check in.

Can't speak for Thomas Cook, but Thomson do with me, the last three journeys I've made to Spain there's a link in my confirmation email telling me how important it is to fill out the form.
