I was the same Emma. Missed out on skiing for the last two days of my trip because of severe flu, barely managed the journey home Sat and could only manage a couple of hours in a local boozer NYE. Still not right today....

Did the current, post-Thelak, Mr Em look after you?

Happy new year everyone.

Had a pretty crappy christmas and new year. Everything was great until xmas morning when we woke up our dog had died during the night, so heartbroken still cannot believe it. She was a class dog, a white alsatian the house just isnt the same without her.

Then on boxing day my 9 week old nephew was rushed into hospital with a shadow on his lung and brochilitis it looked very bad for a while but glad to say he is improving so been a very eventful christmas time :cry:

Mine was quite boring, I too suffered from the dreaded Chistmas flu from Boxing day up until a couple of days ago, which meant I was in bed for a few days feeling rubbish, and missed out on several planned clubbing/drinking nights :evil: including The Cross on the 29th, which Jon went to and said it was a brilliant night. Not feeling too bad now but just gutted that I missed out and will never club at The Cross again :cry:

All the rest of the holiday was spent eating/drinking/watching tv.... all round pretty boring Christmas/New Year really. Next year I'm going away!

Im not right either, my flu is going just about, but 3 days into the flu I have developed a real case of nausea everytime I eat, so I have hardly eaten for the last week or so - and everytime I try it turns my stomach and I feel dreadful, like as if I am going to be sick but never actually be sick. If that makes sense. Its awful. I have it now while at work, ive already called in sick one day and been sent home ill another day I dont think I can do it again. Its affecting me in every way. Its awful. :confused:

He did indeed, he has been marvellous, spent every day with me regardless of my illness & has not moaned once even though I have spent the whole time whinging :lol:
 
Happy new year everyone.

Sorry to hear about everyones ailments and sad news. Unfortunately Shelley and I were at the funeral of her uncle on the 27th, a Christmas to forget for us too.

On a brigher note, it was our little boys first Christmas where he actually enjoyed all his presents rather than the wrappings, we spent many hours playing with pirate ships, train sets, farm sets etc etc :) :) :)
 
I found out the Saturday before Christmas that one of my friends has breast cancer. Then I got the flu like every one else (not that I'm equating it to breast cancer), so not a fantastic one. Still, new year new start and all that.

the fact ive turned from being a clubber to a twitcher is really beginning to dawn on me.

ive been looking at buying myself a hide :oops:

more pressing matters are work related, although its way out of my hands and month b4 xmas was really a fun time to be working here! :lol:
 
What is going on with the flu this year, everyone seems to have either had it or knows someone close to them who has had it.

Serves me right for going against having my flu jab I guess!

Ive turned into a telly addict, I must have watched the most trash tv where I have been in bed all weekend. Ive suddenly grown an addiction to watching Only Fools and Horses re runs, I cant not watch them if I see them whilst channel hopping on Sky :confused:

Thanks, my flu doesnt compare to anything as major as that so my thoughts are with her. Im sure she will be fine. :)

I blame public transport for this "spreading" of flu, people coughing and sneezing all over you :lol:
