Happy Mondays tonight.....

Ooh... I'm jealous! I'd love to see them.

A couple of them came out and did a DJ set here in February (opening up for Noel Gallagher no less) but I missed their live show in June as I was in Ibiza.

Are they good live?

its years since I saw them and I cant remember seeing them...:oops::oops::oops:

Will take the camera this time, for proof of attending this time...

I've seen them 5 times, the best by far was in the MEN arena in 2005 along with the Farm and some other dj's and bands before 16,000 people, what a nite8)

Had only seen them once before - Get Loaded in Glasgow a few years ago.

Saw them again last Friday at a smaller venue and they were fantastic :D Shaun Ryder is looking in much better shape and Bez is as mental as ever

One of my all-time favorite bands. I only saw them once back in early 90s, opening for Jane's Addiction (!?!)...they were supposed to be here in New York a few months ago, but (for some mysterious reason) they had problems with their visas.

No surprises they had problems with their visas, that would be probably due to the many times Shaun Ryder and co have been done for possession of drugs.;)

They played in Dublin a few weeks back but i was only back from Ibiza and missed it,heard it was a great gig.

how was it, Pups?

Well it was all I was hoping for and more - Ryder is looking remarkably good with a pretty good voice to be honest - still got his swagger and briming with arrogance but wasnt the mumbling wreck I was worried about. Bez, well what can you say about Bez - still as funky and funked as ever, I suspect he had some help with his energy levels, as expected, but he was sporting the shiniest set of gnashers I have seen this side of Hollywood!! All in all, a great set, all the usual tracks - not going to give you a play list - just look up HM Discography and thats it really :lol::lol: but a few new ones chucked in (nothing to write home about - nothing to set the world on fire to be honest)

Still it was a great trip down memory lane, specially as the audience average age was prob 36-45 - I had a great night - me and Phil funked our stuff on the dance floor and have the pains and aches to prove it today.....

The biggest surprise of the night was the support to be honest - caught the last 4 songs from a band called The Sunshine Underground - bloody awesome - tightest band I have heard in ages with a phenomenal vocalist and powerful stage presence - they rock!!!!!

3 pints and felt like crap today.........:lol::lol::lol:

Janes Addiction!!!! I worked their gig one night in Newcastle early 90's and sorted Mr F's rider for him..... ;-)

:( had really wanted to see Sunshine Underground, but the queue was so massive when we got there that they were finished when we got in - heard a bit through the walls though

Bridlington

I've been on holiday there! Well, to a farm nearby, between there and Scarborough if i remember correctly. I always remember Bridlington having one of those cool enormous indoor adventure playgrounds on the seafront, with deathslides and ball pools etc. I also distinctly remember buying on of those plates of "bacon, eggs and sausages" hard boiled sweets on that promenade with my pocket money.

Happy times 8)

Back to the topic, was a bit young to go see the Mondays  but I did go to see Black Grape who were ace
