Hand Luggage-Stereos?????

Has anyone had any problems getting stereos on board as hand luggage??
I need my music while i'm in Ibiza(who doesn't). Does the airport security stop you carrying on stereos/camcorders/cameras as hand luggage or do we have to chance it in the hold luggage?
It's my 8th time going and we need the tunes....:?:

Going on the 27th for 2 weeks. Please reply with any info. Cheers....
 
At the min you'll have no chance of getting a stero on as hand luggage. I'd cheak with you airline before you fly to see if they'll let you take them in your case. Security has got a bit better in last few days but most airports have titened again this morning. If i was you i'd take bare minimus to get sorted quicker. I now at Donny and East Mids they have been looking in most Cases.

Each passenger is permitted to carry ONE item of cabin baggage through the airport security search point (dimensions 45cm length, 35cm width, 16cm depth).
No liquids of any type are permitted other than the following items:
Essential medicines in liquid form (e.g diabetic kit).
Baby milk and liquid baby food (contents must be tasted by the accompanying passenger).
NOTE: Liquids should include gels, pastes, lotions, liquid/solid mixtures and the contents of pressurised containers e.g toothpaste, hair gel, drinks, soups, syrups, perfume, deodrant, shaving foam, aerosols, etc.
Pushchairs, walking aids and wheelchairs must be X ray screened.
To avoid delays, please check in as early as possible.

Had the same worries, flying from germany with condor airline. I phoned them and they said don't worry, high security is only on flights from and to USA. European Union flights are no problem but she said we should calculate more time in advance for check in... I would say just call your airline they will tell you...
 
Well, after all that, I stuck my stereo in my hand luggage bag and they didn't even check it at the airport!!!:x

Roll on Ibiza 2007 !!!!!!:D
