Gym?

Do any of you go to the gym on holiday, whether that be in your hotel or elsewhere?

I have never done it, and in the past thought it be a bit odd :?, but I an thinking of doing it this time. Mainly to stop me putting on the 1/2 stone that I nearly always do when I go for a week or more:cry:.

I put the work in in the gym before I head out. I have excellent metabolism so I usually come home from Ibiza having lost weight due being out all night sweating and not eating as well as I should for 10 days.

Enjoy your holiday and forget about the gym until you get home!

^^ this. Plus if you get out in the daytime and walk, jog, swim, hike around the beautiful island, I can promise you won't come back heavier than when you went out ;) .. it's only if you sit around eating and drinking all day and sleeping all night you wind up with the problem ;). I can't imagine going into a gym when you have such an incredible outdoor setting and fantastic weather in which to get some healthy exercise in ... and it's all free :p

+ for dancing. I live on a staple diet of half roast chickens when I'm there, but 6 hours dancing in the early hours sorts it out.

I nearly popped into Rumis gym in the Bay last week, only because it seemed to have very decent aircon & I was boiling at the time.

Did take my trainers to go for runs (verrrrry slow jogs) this time around though.

Or get kidnapped and forced to do the above.

I am the lightest I can ever remember being in peacetime. Been hammering the James 6 times a week, maybe I have a bit of an obsession with it? As for metabolism, I only have to walk past the sweet trolley and I put on 3 pounds!

Dancing all night should solve that problem

Lets hope!

:idea:Maybe thats the answer. I do like walking up and down the beach, Cala Gracionetta in particular.

But did you ever actually use 'em ? ... took my speedcross racers to go run trails last 2 times and ... er ... they never left the suitcase :spank:

The farthest I will go is that it was an experience!

 ... not quite up to spooning in the back of the car, I'll grant you, but it certainly seems to have left a lasting impression :o ... have you checked for scars ? ;)

I did, every day apart from one. Great way to get the alcohol out of the system.

8). Impressed. Swimming and hiking is usually about all I feel I can handle ... and just about does the job ... but am inspired to have another go at the running now. Shoes will be in the bag yet again next time. :)
