Went once in 2008. Playa del Ingles is good for a laugh, but don't expect to be catered for any real cutting edge music. Very commercial, though things may have changed. It's frequented mostly by that 18-30s crowd. Lots (LOTS!) of Germans too. Made me wonder how it earned that moniker.
Pacha - from what I recall - was very table service orientated. You walk into a huge patio area with loads of tables & seating.
There's no "strip", but clusters of venues in centres.
Irish centre good for pubs, cheap grub and watching sports.
The Yumbo centre is the gay district.
And the Kasbah (?) is the centre where the main nightlife is. Here you'll find Lineker's and all that carry-on, as well as Pacha. There was a Scandinavian bar next door to Lineker's with a happy hardcore music policy. Dire. But the barmaids - WOW!
Also takeaway outlets and restaurants (was a really good grill place), market stalls and strip clubs.
There was also a stand-alone club called The Point which had the late licence and everybody flocked to where everywhere else shut. Again, expect chart & party classics!
