'Goths' the new Chavs?

This may sound stereotypical but generally I've found chavs to be rude, mouthy and aggresive. Goths on the other hand are usually more introverted and polite!

Would much rather walk through a massive group of goths than a massive group of chavs.

I know they've been around for years (and years) but they're bloody everywhere lately!

Still, better than Chav.
 
I like Goths - they cause no trouble, they hang around in massive gangs in the summer in Newcastle all dressed in layers upon layers of black when its 70+ degrees - bless!!! They part like the Black Sea if you need to walk through them, they're quiet, they dont cause trouble like the Chav crowd and I would prefer to listen to their music blasting out than the crap "DJ Shouty B@stard" music that Chav's tend to play as they zoom past you in their chavved up Micra's.....

I was actually thinking of becoming a goth myself yesterday, during my 'comedown' period :lol: All i kept thinking was "how easy it would be to dress yourself everyday" fabulous :P
 
I was a goth teenager. I still have a hard time going out without at least one piece of black clothing on 8O
 
Didn't someone once say that pink is the new black? And don't I remember seeing photos of you in pink?

That makes you a a nouveau goth :lol:

Does it come from Gothic? Sinisters? :?


You can't compare Gothic with chav. GOthic is something you choose to be, with more or less success, but gothic people usually stick on the same kind of music for the rest of your life, you can find goths in every social class while chavs usually are from the same background and most of them just follow tendences in music, today it's all about Electro, tomorrow it's all techno and in two days they are adoring Madonna's new album
 
To clear up any confusion, i wasn't really comparing goths to chavs as in their behaviour etc.

Only that this goth'ism appears to be a increaingly popular fashion/trend at the moment not unlike the chav boom of recent times.

I would definately like to see goths overpower the chav culture.

It's normal they are back, it's such an 80's moment, with the old goldies in every radio or night... Really pleased with it, btw ;)

I have just purchased the new 80's 12"single remix album - its GREAT!! :lol: :lol: :lol: :lol: Now where did I put those crimpers hmmmm
