Whether or not UK citizens will be dragged into this remains to be seen, but so far there's little proof we won't.
Basically it turns Spain into the US where we will all have to fill in bureaucratic forms (and pay 10e) in order to be given permission to fly to Spain to spend thousands of Euros on our hols. And vice-versa of course; and UK needs EU tourists just as much as they need us.
The form asks you to state your "first country of call" - well I've been to Dover in the car and bought my ferry ticket there and not knowing if I'd start my touring from Oostende or Calais! Minor point I suppose.
They will be banning drug-users and various criminals; might even be checking your employment history and even how often you have been to the EU before and when. Er, where do I start??
Hopefully sense prevails and tourists - at least up to 90 days - can be spared this nonsense (both ways). I have a feeling that EU's who carry ID cards might avoid the UK uf they have to go to all this trouble. Why get a Visa for London when they can go shopping in Antwerpen visa-free??
