Going in June hopefully, but we're 17?

Me and my friend are wanting to go start of June, staying in San An. Both of us are just nearly 17 and some travel agents haven't let us book. Anybody know if we book online it'll be alright? I know it would be if we got the flights and hotel separate but obviously we don't want to do that 'cos its a fortune.

I've had a look on a couple sites and they class an adult as 16+ and don't say you have to have someone over 18 travelling with you. Anyone help? :)

which travel agents have you been to?...my guess and best bet is go on the travel sites.most don;t ask your age anyway... or book diy it may be cheaper than you think.but depends where you fly from.its all money you cannot afford to turn it away in this day and age

im going this year with me m8s and were only 17, we booked with thomas cook and all we had to do was take a letter in from parents like giving permission for us to go and it was all ok. everyone in our school had to do the same thing, so you should be alright. let us know how ya get on with it.

Will the agent's insurers cover you, do you have an EU medical card, where might refuse entry, have you got £150/day to p*** up the wall?

Can get travel insurance no prob - been down the post office.

Why do I need a medical card, my insurance covers any accidents.

Refused entry? Doubtful, get in to everywhere here and they're pretty strict. Started a new job the other week and everyone assumed I was 18/19.

And I'm taking a grand.

So anyway, booked flights yesterday and been looking at a couple of hotels. Its been cheaper than I thought which is good and since we're getting them separetly I don't think we'll have any problems :)

If you need medical treatment when you are there, you will need to show the card.Insurance won't pay up till much later.(if you're lucky)

Get one from the post office.

Also get some numbers of sensible people (yes older - you can trust people over 20 sometimes!) just in case. Im sure you are all very sensible and capable but you never know where you can end up (Ive been to most of 'em), and I reckon thats part of the reason you're going!!

Advice: Im sure you wont need this but just do not screw with the coppers of any sort in Ibiza they won't take any cheek, some of those that supplememnt the local force in high season dont see it as the best career move and can be like gastapo (remember spain was a still fascist run country until 1975 when the rest of europe had given it up 30 years before and old habits can die hard) without a sense of humour, especially if you dont speak any catalan. Do exactly what they tell you with resigned good humour. As any resident who has simply not had their car papers with them.

Oh yes - look after your feet - or is hobbling time as you really will have danced them off totally and blistered blisters are very nasty!

You will have the time of your life:

Try these:

Kumaras for sunset (better atmo than Cafe Mambo but do both) Best on Saturday
Salinas Beach to show off your skinny ass
Manumission (Fri) and enjoy the show
Pacha for all the hype
Hed Kandi (Sat) for Laura's sax
Home of La Troya to see how gay some folks can get (yes that dancer does have his c*** out)
KM5 - its amazing who can act civilised when they have to
Try to get into Elephant in San Rafael to spot some posing celebs and say in a loud voice 'whos that then, i though he was dead!'
Dive to cueva de la luz (N coast)
Go for a drumming party at Benirras on Sunday
Go on a boat party from San An! 6 am
At least one Judgement Sunday
Kanya
Bora Bora
Base Bar
West end holds no attractions for me but its a laugh and handy for er .. shopping.
Villa D'alt daytime and night time, several times.

Make load of the most unlikely friends
Kiss a few strangers
Remember the feeling for ever

Do it all again every year at least once until you're my age and beyond, 'cos Im not giving up either

My travel tips for youngsters
1)Make a copy of your passport and tickets and scan it and e mail it to yourself and just leave it in your mailbox, then you will have a copy online which you can print out if the worst happnes. You can travel on a photocopy.
2)Never drink strong booze that comes in a plastic bottle, 99% chance its going to be very bad for you,
3)Never walk drunk down a street where you can touch both sides with your hands, Youll get mugged.
4)Avoid taking out your passport and wallet if your going boozing, but make sure its a safe place where you leave them.
5)Go up to a bar with a load of change and start talking to someone whoi looks like they are ordering a round then start counting out the money, say you have the last of your pocket money to last you, I used to blag loads of drinks that way when I was 17.
