Hi folks,

unfortunately I can´t go to the White Isle this year. So I plan to surprise my best mate with a trip to Global Gathering in july this year. Can someone answer me the following questions:

A.
Is it possible to go there with a motorhome? Perhaps it is raining, perhaps my mate is pregnant .... and and and.

B.
Is it a MUST to go both days or should we rather go on saturday? Last years line ups looked better to me than that from friday?

C.
Where can we sleep (cheap) - if we arrive on thursday evening (if we go both days) or friday evening (if we go on saturday)???

D.
Is the train central station of Birmingham far away from the airport?

For english people surely that sounds like very stupid questions - but we plan to take a flight from Cologne (in GERMANY)....

So: Don´t hesitate to answer or to ask other questions I perhaps forgot to write or what I have to pay attention if I plan something like that....

Hi Katrin, in answer to your questions:

1. No it's not possible to take a motorhome onto the site, it's tents only.

2. Personally I think it's better doing both days - the Friday is only a mini sesh from about 5pm - 4am so that gets you warmed up and then Saturday is from about midday - 6am. They normally put weekend tickets onsale to start with and then at a later date you have been able to buy tickets for the Saturday only.

3. We always stay at the New Inn which is only about a mile from the site, the nearest town to the site is Stratford and there's hotels there at all price ranges.

4. Sorry no idea about Birmingham airport.

Global Gathering is fab, probably my fave festival, let me know if you want to know anything else ;)
