Girls - High Waisted Jeans (good or bad?)

Tried a pair on last night - the assistant was saying Yes, my head was saying hmmm possibly not - I really dont know what to think about these strange trousers - anyone bought any yet and been converted from low rise jeans ?????

I dont think its gonna be the new look for me I have to say.....:? :? :?
 
pups, you have to taken into consideration "the newcastle factor"...........

you've only just got shellsuits up there haven't you??;) :lol:
 
Im not tall enough so they make my legs and body look dumpier then they already are. I have seen this look on someone my height too and it werent good.

Think you have to be tall thats why they looked so good on Kate M that time.

Saying that I like the highwaisted shorts that Geri Halliwell had on, they were from Topshop, wouldnt mind a pair for summer/holiday!

How tall are you? Kate M is only 5ft 7

I would imagine it would make someone look taller.

I have a long body and short legs, wearing highwaisted bottoms makes me look in proportion :lol:

Sorry, don't like them they say to me wannabe fashion victim :?

There was a picture in Look of one of those Atomic Kitten birds this morning wearing a pair so you know a fad has definitely died a death when it's gone down to the fashion food chain to the likes of her :? :lol:

(Then again I very very very rarely wear jeans so I'm probably the wrong person to ask).
 
I hate them.....I find that they have the reverse effect on me than with baggy jeans that I see hanging around boys backsides!....I just want to yank these bloody high jeans DOWN!!! :lol:

Dont do it pups! Thankfully havent seen many people in them and cant see them being "in fashion" for long....:?

Sorry to anyone that owns a pair....:oops: ....Im short and have a wide bum....its only right I argue against them! :lol:
 
They are not really a fad, they are an alternative style. Why would you want to wear just low cut all the time?
Nothing goes out of fashion anymore. Infact nothing new comes into fashion. Everything keeps reinventing itself.

I have been wearing jeans and t-shirts for so long now :twisted: because I hate whats in the shops.

Nah when we got bored we forwarded that style to Liverpool, so you could tuck the legs into your white sports socks.

I didnt think they looked good on me to be totally honest as I am quite curvy and only 5' 6" as opposed to model / gazelle like - I assume the saleslady was trying to make a quick sale....... thanks for the advice girls...

hmmm...the jury's out at the moment. They're ok if you look like kate moss or mischa barton......but otherwise :?

I just don't really like jeans and trousers, I'd much rather wear little dresses or skirts than boring jeans :twisted: I don't mind denim skirts and shorts, it's just jeans I have an aversion to :?

I am 5ft 3. But I have the shortest body ever there is hardly any room between my "chest" and hips :lol: But I have long legs so I cant imagine what they would look like on me. I just am against anything that makes me look dumpy!
 
i have a whole bottom half problem (he he!) at the moment

I have so many lovely tops but struggle with what to put with them.

especially these smock type ones. its getting too hot for leggings now!

i coulnt get on with the whole skinny jeans thing at all

have you seen all the new ankle grazer jeans in river island? they are full length on me 8O 8O wll only just - like when they are just one inch too short!!! very stylish NOT!
 
I love my skinny jeans from Jane Norman - I wear them loads and get to show off nice shoes with them (heels of course) :lol:

i've bought some wide leg ones but i'm just debating whether or not to take them back!!

I also got some skinny ones from the big p - they're dead comfy just difficult to wear! :evil:
