Has anyone been to the Sanctuary? i got a voucher for my birthday but have never been to a spa in my life and don't know if i want to go on my own - I may get bored in there for a whole day. Can anyone recommend any treatments, or should I just blow the lot on scented body oil? :D

I've been before, I did enjoy it but it was mainly cos I was with my best girlie friend and we just minxed about together - I prob wouldn't recommend it on your own cos you might get a bit bored if you're going to there for the full day.

I can't even remember what treatments I had - the usual facial, massage, pedicure etc - they are very good at what they do.

That's what I thought - much more fun with someone else. I may go for the evening one, which is cheaper and less time to be bored. Then I can spend more on treatments and products. I am slightly addicted to the body oil - i get withdrawel symptoms when i run out...

Did you go on the swing? What's that all about?!?!? :)

Fancy seeing you in a girlie thread Emma  ;)

I really like Sanctuary home products as well, I often use their face masks and scrub things.

Hey, you can rely on me

I think my other friends start to think where I get all these tips and news from

I like the scrubs they do in the glass jars, think they are about £10, there is a great detox one, makes you feel not so bad about drinking as much as you did the night before once you have scrubbed yourself all over with it

Spotlight, it's an educational experience

Those scrubs are brilliant, I do love a good scrubbing  The best scrubs I have ever come across tho are the Origins one - they are more expensive than Sanctuary but they are sooooo yummy I could eat them

It just makes you feel better when you have had a scrub, it makes me feel less bad for abusing my body or not keeping fit

I might have to check them out, are they in Boots as well?

Will have a look at lunch on their website.

Origins isn't available in Boots, just in the Origins stores (there's one in Covent Garden) and in some department stores and online http://www.origins.co.uk/search/Origins.htm

The ginger body scrubs and moisturiers are soooooo good :D

I went a couple of years ago and was a little bit disappointed. I have much better treatments elsewhere and they are overpriced. It was like being on a conveyer belt for the treatments - a bit like a number in there and it wasn't that personal. Saying that though, I did have a nice relaxing day. The food is good and there are lots of areas when you can just sit, chill out and read (or get on the wine ;) ). We arrived just after 10 in the morning, had lunch at midday and left at 7 steaming drunk - we'd drunk them out of rose! In fact, I could hardly talk  8O

We spent most of our day drinking wine too   It kinds of defeats the object doesn't it going to a health spa and getting hammered :?
