Getting to Space

Hi all,

I'm staying in San An with 3 mates for 7 nights, 6th-13th Sept. We are going to be going to Space at least twice, just wanted to get advice on the cheapest way we can be getting over to the club from San An. Are there any 'disco buses' that do this - I know there are for Amnesia but didn't see one going to Space last year?

A guy I know actually said he used to get a taxi there and, when entering Space, produced the receipt which the club then refunded. Is this still happening? Anyone know?

Traditionally it was 4 payers show the taxi receipt at the door and you'd get the full fare refunded, 3 payers and you'd get half of it back.

Someone on the island confirm if this is still the case.

(Seems remarkably generous in the context of the normal commercial cynicism of Ibiza clubs. My guess is there's a fiddle in it somewhere, overstating cash refunded for fares perhaps, or some sort of tax loophole/break.:?:)
 
Thanks Buckley - yeah I thought that sounded too good to be true in the current climate too, but you never know. The chap in question did actually mention that you had to have 4 people sharing the taxi too, so that checks out.

Can anybody confirm whether they're still offering this? Otherwise - is there a disco bus from any of the bars on the sunset strip, perhaps if we buy tickets from there?

"Free taxis are available for groups of 4 payers, up to a value of €25. (Please show the taxi receipt at the door.)
Half price taxis are available for groups of 3, up to a value of €15. (Please show the taxi receipt at the door.)

Free buses for ticket holders will run from Mambo, San Antonio at 11pm and from Bar M (now called Ibiza Rocks Bar) at 12:30am"

Next question is does it apply to other Space parties, I guess
 
Otherwise....there is the actual 'disco bus' or night service from San An bus station:

23:30 - 1:00 - 2:30 - 4:00 orange route, a few euros.

Yup this is still happening, bought tickets in San An and got refunded the taxi fare when we got to Space....

Just for your information a taxi back from there to San An cost me 30 euros....

Dam friends being lame and going faaaaaaaaaaaaaar too early for my liking :spank:

This brings me back. Back in the day [insert Babs/Morbs row here], when Space was open every morning, mates I was with would bail and I'd get cabs there on my lonesome/with randoms/with whatever girl pretty much every day if the holiday.

Got to the point where I'd come out of Space in the afternoon and bought shorts to go swimming at Bora Bora so many days in a row, that the fella in the shop gave me a pair for nothing:lol:

I loved those cab rides - one wicked night with friends was just over and adventure was just about to begin....

The reason I always stay in PDB was not matter where I went the night before 1 taxi back to Space and a stumble back to my hotel after a Space time. Sometimes long one sometimes just a few hours.
