Getting to Ibiza in Winter

Why is it so difficult to get to ibiza in Winter?

I don't want to go to Tenerife or Lanzarote etc...!

Just checked all over the internet and there simply are no flights unless we are willing to pay £300 each for a nine hour journey.

Has anyone ever travelled to Ibiza November --> March?

I paid £130 for our flights for this New Year ;)

Iberia from Heathrow - Barcelona, quick change in Barca, then Iberia from Barcerlona - Ibiza - 6 hours tops including changeover.

My parents are looking at going to Ibiza in the winter months, just wondering what every 1 does if they're holidaying in ibiza in winter?

Thanks for the info, Barbie. I could easily live with that, trouble is I would have to do one heck of a sales job selling the 6 hour flight with a change over to Shelley:cry: Whilst we were away I persauded her it would be a nice idea to visit for a winter break with our little boy. Not too hot for him and another chance for checking out the island.

Loz,

If you have a read, there is plenty of info on here about places that are open over winter, cafes, bars, clubs etc.

I found our flights on www.skyscanner.net - they search loads of airlines for you (admittedly I was really bored one day in April, we'd already talked about again at New Year so I booked them then   )

How about a day/night in Barcelona going and coming back - flight to Barcelona is 2 hours, you could see Barcelona and then it's only about 40 mins to Ibiza ;)

Now that's a good idea :)

We have both been to Barcelona, on Hen & Stag do's and sadly seen very little of the city as a result:oops: We agreed it was a must, to see the city again at a more leaisurly pace. We could work it into a 10 day break :)

I will work out a sales pitch:)

cos there are no direct flights!;)

like barbie said the best way is to use skyscanner to find a cheap budget airline flight to barcelona or madrid and then use skyscanner again for the internal flight within spain...............from memory even during winter there are 10 or so flights from barcelona to ibiza every day (only a 40 min flight too)

Fate works in mysterious ways!

Just received an email from airmiles about the BA sale of flights booked in September. We can get from Manchester to Barcelona for a total of 900 miles (for all of us) @ £184 for all of us Barc ---> Ibiza (& back) :)
