Getting Taxi's from a villa

This year we have decided to go down the villa route. We have a villa for 7 of us located about 10 minutes from the airport. Very happy with the decision to do this but am slightly worried about being able to get out and about.

Coming home will be fairly simple I assume as we can just jump in and say where we are going but is it easy enough to just call a taxi number and order 2 cabs?

I cant imagine we will be going out loads but the occasional afternoon taxi will be needed but mainly of an evening between 11pm and 1am I assume.

Any help/advice on this would be great as don't want to waste half our night waiting around for Taxis!
 
if it is in san jose area you are lucky because the taxi company has almost all of the villas registered. you need to know the villa's name (most of them start with can and then a name) and they will send you the taxi straight to the villa. simply try it when you get there :)
 
was really worried about this when i had my only stay in a villa but as stivi said we rang the local taxi number and quoted our villa name (casa curva in cala llonga in this case) and i dont think we waited more than 10 minutes on any occasion day or night....was a pleantly surprised :)

btw was in mid to late september
 
Cheers guys! Yeah the villa does have a name, Can Daniel and is located in Sant Jordi I believe just up a road a few minutes down the road from KM5 if you was coming from Ibiza Town way.

What's the best number to call?
 
We had one outside Jesus couple of years ago. Just stood outside front gates on road and flagged them down. Going back to the villa we had cards with the address.
 
Don’t bother sending pins/location on your mobile WhatsApp etc- way out! Possibly the magnetic issues?

Walking to the nearest road and flagging down is an option, especially if you need a few taxis you could be waiting a while
 
I'm glad you started this thread @aregandj as my group were having similar concerns when we discussed yesterday. Were a group of 16 staying in a villa in the San Antonio hills just off Carretera de Santa Agnès. Were out from Saturday 28th July - August 4th so peak season too and starting to worry about how easy its going to be ordering taxi's for that large a group during such a busy time of the year.
 
Is there an app where you can order a taxi to wherever you are like Uber?

The thought of having to dial for a taxi is mind blowing for me these days.
