Getting married?

Hi new to the board, can anyone give me advice my daughter is going to playa den bossa next year and wants to get married on holiday whats the best way of arranging it?

it is very difficult to get married (legally) in ibiza without being a resident or spanish national, well almost impossible in fact. Its not like Las Vegas or other destinations where you can just have holiday weddings.................

I can recommend Can Truy (where i got married :D ), and they will be able to advise you on how it all works, the procedures, services, etc, etc and they can organise everything from flowers to photos to music.

Hi,

My partner and I also plan to get married in Ibiza - we're looking into September 07 for the big day.
We have both been confirmed in a Catholic church, and hope to get married in a church in Ibiza.
I've looked at the various websites :
Up Hospitality
Ibiza Weddings
Can Truy

Any advice would be greatly appreciated as it's very early days for us in sorting it out. We're going to Ibiza in September this year, and hope to suss things out then.
Is there anywhere we could visit or people we could see that would be helpful?
What sort of budget is realistic - we plan on having around 50 guests
:D

Similarly, I would be after any tips. Looking to have a low-key wedding in Ibiza either next summer or the one after. My partner is Catholic so seems to think it makes things easier considering that we're not residents of Ibiza.

We'd organise our own villa and dinner, etc but are trying to choose which church would be best.

Having now been to Ibiza to sort out wedding plans, my partner and I have set a date for a legal catholic marriage in Ibiza. The only thing is, the english speaking priest is based in the church in Ibiza Town and will not marry us at any other church. The church location wise isn't ideal, but is lovely inside.
If you're happy to do the legal bit in the UK and go over to Ibiza for a blessing which is exactly the same as a wedding ceremony, then I would advise contacting Rev. Bob Short http://www.ibizaholidays.com/married.shtml. We met him and he is happy to perform the ceremonies, and they can also be at a church of your choice.
We are now looking for a reception venue...we want to hold the party at a private villa - we saw a few while in Ibiza, but did not find 'the one'. Any suggestions??? We will have around 50 guests:)

Would you consider having it in Spanish? That's what I'm looking at.

Which church in Ibiza Town was it anyway?
