Geting to and from clubs in Ibiza

Hey all. ive searched a bit about this before but would just like to be reassured on buses going to and from the various clubs on Ibiza.

Were staying in the bay this year, so will be going along to Eden at some point, but mostly we need to know where we could catch the bus in San Antonio, that would take us to Amnesia. The same also applies for Privelage.

I thought we would be quicker and easier just hopping into a few taxi's and paying that bit extra.

whats your thoughts on this, cheers!!

We found some of the bars had coaches/buses going from their venue depending on what bar supports what night type of thing......

The Disco Bus from outside Bar M - drops you off outside Amnesia/Priv. just a short walk. Buy your tickets for Cream from Bar M and get the free bus....

Personally, its taxi all the way for me - the bus is a feckin nightmare.....

if there are 4 of you in the taxi, get a receipt and hand it in on the door of the club - you will get your fare refunded......

Things like this shouldn't be considered. It happens, you'll get there. I fly to most places in Ibiza, seems to get me there exceedingly quickly.

No avoid those illegal taxis like the plague they rip you off and get you paying double to that of a normal taxi, I guess it may just depend on the person but from my experience its usually not a good idea

Found these guys on Facebook - Ibiza taxi's , basically some english guys who will pick u up / drop u off wherever you want , Club , Airport , wherever . Seemed quite a good idea to me

For info purposes, I'd guess these guys aren't insured and if you're not driving yourself because you'll likely to be 'refreshed', I wouldn't guarantee that using British summer workers doing illegal taxi runs will mean that your driver is any less smashed than you!

I can't say I never have though - there were peak times in 2006 when I struggled for a legal cab.

I hear ya Kofi!!! When we were staying in Cala Salada - no legal cab would take us due to the state of the roads at that time - we spent a few hair raising journey's in illegal cabs......:eek::eek::eek:

I would like to think "never again" now I am a "grown up".....:?:?

I get in illegal cabs pretty much exclusively. Not suggesting others do it but I've never had any problems with it. Cheaper, no ques, good fun to talk to to. I don't agree with the principle of it as have spoken to licensed cab drivers and they proper hate them. However, I'm always travelling with a few boys and that, would definately NOT it if single female. And bartering is fun.

Get the disco bus if you're under 21 / have an unnaturally calm demeanor / run a youth club back home. Way too up for it for my delicate tastes these days. Otherwise get a taxi.

aaah the disco bus, brings back memories. the best the time i fell asleep right at the back, I spent the night going back n forth from PDB->Ibiza Town, It's safe to say i wont be doing that again.....I never did found out how I ended up on my own that night  :lol:

Excellent, cheers for all the feedback:)

We were in Bar M a few times last year, so that well handy as we'll be going to Amnesia twice, and Privelige once this year.

Do the buses leave every hour or something like that?

Thats mad that they give you a refund if there is 4 of you. theres 7 of us going in total, so i'll be sure to be in taxi with 4 of us if we get one! To be honest we didnt even leve san antonio/san antonio bay last year so this year were going make up for that. Just handy to know as much as poss so we dont waste time going round in circles on the night.

Just 2 months to go.......:D:D

There is a new bus station behind the hotels that face the egg roundabout in San An town that opened last year. You can get a regular bus service through the night which will drop you off outside Privilege, Amnesia and take you close to Pacha and El Div in Ibiza town. All this for 2 euro. I never use any other means of transport. The pirate taxis are too dodgy mate.

The illegal taxis are the ticket tbh. They might be more expensive but so what your on holiday so imo its better splashing out and getting to/from places quicker than standing about all night waiting on other taxis or queuing for buses etc

You're REALLY ****ed if they crash though. REALLY REALLY ****ed. Think it voids your insurance.

I got one last year, don't think I'd do it again.

He offered us drugs too.

I took a few dodgy taxis last year and a couple of the rides scared me ****less. Serious veering from side to side at high speed in an overloaded car. Others were fine and saved a lot of time, but the risk is pretty big.

I am staying in playa den bossa this summer.

do i need to take 2 disco buses to get me from palya to amnesia or privilge

or 1 bus will do all the trip to all the clubs?
