Gatecrasher@privilege ?

Hi everybody,

I like energetic trance and I plan to go to the Gatecracher party @ Prvilege on August 10 th with Paul Oakenfolk, dash Berlin, marco V and Sean Tyas....

First question : what do u think about it ?

Second question : the price is ''only'' 30 euros. Is that means the gatecracher parties are not successful ? Do you think there is a risq the club won't be full (armin is playing that night at space) ?

If Paul Oakenfold is playing I expect the place to be rammed, and also at 30 euro's for a ticket will help

If it were me I would see Paul Oakenfold, but then I'm not that fussed about Armin and I am old school8)

This week is the first Gatecrasher party so there is no knowing how busy it will be.

I agree c00kiemonster with Oakenfold playing and tickets at 30euros it should be quite busy.

I went to the one off godskitchen boombox night with Sander Van Doorn. It was also only 30€ maybe 25 but was brilliant. The place was no rammed and you had plenty of room to dance which to me is much better than being squashed alive like Tiesto.

I agree as I love Gatecrasher parties, not been to one in Ibiza mind, but all the UK ones have been great. Especially the Gatecrasher Summer sound system parties of the late 90's, todays Creamfields and Global aren't a patch on them

I've just taken the tickets for the gatecracher party !!! I hope Paul will play some old sckool trance

I've also taken tickets for the judgement sundays white party....I know this party is not known as the best in the city....but I really want to see Eddie ALiwell live...I just hope the crowd wont be too young

Eddie is good live, but I would rather go space on the sunday instead.
Now that this gatecrasher night has been thrown in for wednesday I am torn as I wanted to go to chanel zoo but I have always wanted to go to privilige and tiesto doesnt really do it for me when I have been before I have always gone coccon but my mrs(her first time) would love this. I am wondering if I should just keep it a secret and I will continue to attempt to turn her into a techno freak like me

Unlikely.
If you can find it, listen to Paul Oakenfold's set from A State of Trance 500 (In Den Bosch).
It's fairly progressive.
Marco V and Dash Berlin will play some euphoric, and a lot of harder Trance.
Durand is all over the place, bit of this, bit of that. Good to watch
Chicane will be slightly more commercial, but they have a fair number of older trance hits.

why is it crap ?

Full of pissed up "Notts" dick heads for a start, and I just dont enjoy the night listening to gatecrasher type music I prefer proper techno or even good house music. To be fair I havent been gatecrasher for a couple of years, last two times were to see eddie halliwell and judge jules. Eddie was ok, shame about the crowd. And the jules was just poor full stop. But then I am not really into that anymore so when I say crap I mean crap for me

There isnt any
Firefly had its last ever night in June and even then wasnt an occurrence that happened very often. For some reason we mustn't have the appeal. Leeds and Birmingham are the nearest with any decent nights.
I have downloaded that set and to be honest thought it was really not for me, so thats chanel zoo chosen for me then

I have been to this party on august 10th and Marco V played between 1h30 and 3 o'clock if my memory is good enough....His set was perfect for me... a good mix with some comercial trance tracks !

The party was quite good, even if the privilege was not very full...
