from Madrid to Valencia

Hi,

I'm looking at getting a ferry from Valencia to Ibiza but I will be flying into Madrid. I would like to do some sight seeing from Madrid to Valencia. How far or how long is the trip from Madrid to Valencia by car?

It's about 3 hours and a half along the A-3 freeway. The scenery is very beautiful. If you're going in summer you'll see mainly yellow wheat fields on the plains of Castilla La Mancha, pinewoods and vineyards.

But if you decide to go by train you'll enjoy similar views too.

Thanks for the tip. I still haven't decided if I'm going to go by train or car. I want to go by car to take my time but money will determine that. Good to know the train is an option.

You mentioned vineyards...can you do wine-tasting??
