Frist visit to Ibiza from NYC

Arriving in Ibiza August 3rd. Have a villa in Can Furnet for 7 days. Was told it was 10 minutes form town by realtor but I think that might have been a lie. Anyhow I am looking for any types you guys think would be good. Beaches or places to eat. The parties I have all worked out. Luckily going the same week as some NY dj's are playing and should be taken care of at a lot of parties.

Between flights, villa, and spending money this trip is super expensive since the US dollar is terrible. We are trying to save money.Should we rent a car? Is it tough to get cabs to Can Furnet?

it is definitely not much longer than 10mins from can furnet into ibiza town.

yes get a rental car. it's the best way to discover the island. the best about ibiza are the countless beaches and doing them by taxi sounds like a nightmare to me. get a car, really.

Thanks for this info. Is there any certain beaches that you would say to check out more then others?

I am in my 30's and recovering is not very easy anymore. I expect to sit at the pool during the day would like to go to the beach at least twice but may be comatose stating monday lol

endless list of beaches really and everyone likes their favourite beach a bit different...

get a car. chill out on the beach and not only around the pool and see something of the island.

I rented a villa called Can Furnet (through this site) which will have been in the same area roughly. Its a 10min drive to Playa D'enBossa.
I would check out Salinas beach , its abit more upmarket than the beach at PDB. Also Cala D'Hort and Cala Comte are really nice and will get you exploring abit more.
Yes do hire a car! Can be abit of a mission getting taxi's out when your at a villa , getting em back is no problem.
Do your shopping at the Mercadona supermarket which is on the roundabout (probs the 2nd one from where your staying) , its the biggest and cheapest in the area.

p.s hope you can drive 'stick' as they say in america?

Yes, I can drive stick! I guess you guys say manual? I cant really argue with someone form the UK about what sounds better. As you guys sound a 1000 times better.

I actually have a 12 hour layover in London this Saturday. I was going to go explore.

My buddy from London tells me the plane ride to Ibiza is usually pretty entertaining especially on a Saturday night
