Sounds a bit painful now I've re-read my title....... 
Ususally I go self catering cos we eat out mostly and I like having the big fridge to store beer and pre-clubbing gin!
oh, and some food maybe if there's room...... 
However, we have friends staying in the Arenal this year and would be nice if we were all in the same place, however, not sure about the lack of fridge. I know there are hire companies around but has anyone hired a fridge in a hotel? or more specifically in the Arenal (classed as San An bay although just next to the Itaca/bar m bars)?
