Just wondering if anyone had any tips on what is a good freeview box to buy that can record and store a decent amount of tele?

If you can afford it get a HD recorder and DVD recorder combined - well worth it in the long term. You don't need much HD memory...some of them are ridiculous.

(and they're great for recording the essential mix which is all I use mine for these days. )

Also - if you do this, make sure you've got a dual tuner so you can watch one side and record another simeltaneously. My Panasonic is great but it doesn't let me do this. Grrr.

it's worth paying more for a better brand with the freeview box as the cheaper ones tend to have awful software that crashes all the time or is a nightmare to use.

just any big brand I guess?

stay clear of this one

Get a HUMAX. I have a PVR 800T but there is a twin tuner one now at £180 with 160gb of memory.
