Does anyone know of any other free services for texting from the web?

Please don't tell me to pay, i'm a skank :D

NO! This one clocks up the mobile bills of UK users by sending news/horoscope messages to your mobile each day. When i signed up before i was getting 5 per day @ 50p...

it's soooo not free!! :lol:

thanks anyway ;)

If you make sure you opt-out of all that stuff you don't get any spam at all...

do you use it then mark? fusion sent me an invite months back and when i realised what it was doing after a whole month i had to totally cancel and still had to let it send me messages at 50p a pop for another 48 hours while it was cancelled.

if it's just a set up option then i'll try again!

To be honest I use my work phone for SMSs (naughty mark), but I did sign up and I haven't had any texts from them after the initial confirmation texts...

Yeah - I recently discovered this place;

http://www.cbfsms.com

Give it a go - no catches and I've managed to send quite a few from here - can get busy at times though but otherwise it's cool.

Oh hi btw, cool forums :D

Hi Pip and Welcome :D

Found that one and tried it today, seems to be too busy to send most of the time unless you pay! I dont like to pay :P

smsac.com is a rip off, i used that then got sent a load of messages which cost, tried ringing 02 but they didnt wanna know, i tried cancelling the messages but for 2 weeks kept recieving messages which cost, letting me know that iv now been removed etc. so i had to get a new number :twisted:

cbfsms is not bad but sometimes hard to send as you have to wait, the best is probably www.02.co.uk but you only get a limited amount per month :roll:
