Yeah!! The guy who got shot which precipitated the first world war!
They are basically a pop/rock group, although they have a slight dance undertone, and are sometimes played at "electro" clubs...

Housemates went to see these other night when they played at B'ham academy. They were only on for about an hour though and played all songs on the album because aparently albums only about 40mins long.
They said they were good live tho

yeah, the album's really short - mind you, that's a good thing in a way - too many albums drag on forever!
dunno about the DJ Sammy comment - I personally don't think The Strokes are that fantastic, and FF have that kinda ironic British thing which I like in a band....

but it was mixer that mentioned dj sammy...
i don't like that much indie music, and the bands i do like tend to be older ie Smiths/Pulp/Suede...
but i think FF are pretty fresh and exciting.

I've heard some stuff from them recently. Pretty good. Snow Patrol are really, really good.

So-so. The three singles released so far (Take Me Home, Darts Of Pleasure and Dark Of The Matinee) are all good, but the rest doesn't really grab me.
Saw them at the NME tour back in January, and I think whilst they are good live, the songs just dragged in parts and were fairly uninspired. There are certainly far better acts out there.

There are most certainly 2 better acts out there, the Toilet Boys http://www.toiletboys.com and Glamour to Kill http://www.glamourtokill.de . Good stuff! 8)
