Hi, going to be staying in San Antonio Bay and want to take my Ibiza virgin friend to Formentera. Been many times before but was always based on the other side of the island. Can anyone suggest the best way to go. Would a bus to Ibiza town then walk to the harbour to catch the ferry be the only way? Also do the ferrys at Ibiza town harbour stop only at savina port or the beach aswell?....so many questions...thanks for your help in advance!

The ferries from Ibiza Twon only stop at La Savina. If you want to be droped at a beach then you should take the glass bottom one in PDB.

one leaves playa den bossa at 10 am back at 5pm.costs.18 euros. and goes to playa illetes and puerto de la savina. 35 mins .or 9.50 am from figueretes.thats everyday.

you can get a boat from San Antonio to Illets(i think thats how you spell it) beach at Formentera. Its a fantastic beach there. get the boat from san an town where the fountains/boats are.

i think it leaves around 10am ish leaves formentera at about 5.

its a 2 hour trip though.

the beach is marvelous, very much like a carribean setting.

Thanks everyone.
It would be a pain to get to Playa den bossa or Figguretas from San Antonio Bay to catch a boat to Formentera. I think ill have to get a bus to Ibiza town and get the fast ferry.;)

It's the best option, once there rent a bicycle and you can head to Illetes, Cala Saona or Migjorn.
If I was you, I would stock in water and something to eat cos there's not too many chiringuitos and are very expensive

Yes i think that will probably be my plan. I hope my friend is up for it. I know its worth the effort when you are there. Thanks everyone
