My daughter really wants to go to the Hippy Market .. but I'm pretty sure there must be something like that a bit less commercial than the one in Es Cana, somewhere in Ibiza?

She loves tarot, deciphering dreams, palm reading .. all that sorta stuff .. (hey, she even has a "altar") .. I can't wait to see what she makes of the sunsets and the whole peaceful vibe as the sun goes down ...

There must be places I can take her?

other than Benniras for the "hippy" drumming at sunset and Atlantis/Es Vedra for magical and mystical - I can't really think of anywhere else..

In las dalias there is a tribal party called NAMASTE its quite interesting...and cheap 15 euros i think

It's got to be Las Dahlias - better range of decent goods without the lookie lookie brigade - try to be early or late as it does get very busy and try the bar - their coffee is some of the best and cheapest on the island.

There is a single hippy shop in San Juan. Great Massages available and a chill out 'space'. The german bloke who runs it can be a bit miserable though.

As per Tony and Nick, Las Dalias is a much better bet than Es Canar

Also never been but the psy-trance night at Las Dalias is, apparently, great. Pete Tong was seen inside there once.

Hey what days does this happen on at Benniras?

Thanks guys ..

nish .. TUT .. at the moment she is far too serious and responsible a child to even want to do that, but you never know .. she's not a teenager yet !

Exactly. A certain Danny Spegeil I presume. The thing about some of these hippie dippie types is that if you don't share their taste for cod spiritualism crystal powers, chakra and tye dyed threads they look down on you from a great height. There's more snobbery in San Juan/San Carlos than Botafoc marina.

In answer to your question, I'd say the Hippodrome market Sat from 8-9am is much more authentic experience than any silly themed hippie market. ~

And they have real fleas there too!

They are quasi, wannabe post-hippies. The clothes, hairstyles and appearances are too perfect.

Where are the tattoos? Only one of the guys has a decent sized tattoo. Most of the girls have nothing.

The cringe is big in this group.
