Essex's first and only NO SMOKING dance event
Sadly DJ Matt Jay passed away on 12th February 2005 having battled with cancer in his airway and terminal cancer of the liver.
In August 2004 Matt launched AIRWAVE to raise funds for the Southend Hospital Head and Neck Cancer Unit (PCFK) and research into small cell cancer at the same time as creating an awareness to the dangers of smoking and passive smoking, while having a good time.
Airwave is Matt's legacy which we on his behalf will continue to promote a safer, healthier club night for all. Join us in making this a very special Airwave and to pay your respects to a truely remarkable person.
This is a non profit event with those involved donating their time and services for free. All money raised goes to PCFK and Small Cell Research.
There is a terrace with heat lamps for smokers and nicotine gum available on the night.
Essex County Hotel is next door to the club and is offering discount rooms provided you pre-book. 01702 279955 quote 'Airwave'
