Been monitoring the prices for early June and theve just gone up nearly £70 overnight :( someone tell me they will come back down :spank:

post-New Year flight sales are over for the most part .. but it's usually school 1/2 terms and Bank Holidays which are the guilty parties. ... there's no way I'd pay £200 for a return flight in early June unless it was for business.

Let's face it, Thomas Cook have just been selling flights back from Tenerife this week for £15. and Thomson flights out for under £50. They were quoting over £100 each way for them booking 4 months ago. Clearly they didn't sell enough holidays at those prices. Same thing went on with Ibiza 1st 2 months of last Summer.

Last year, then went up in Jan and Feb, then dropped in March.
Don't assume they will this year though

Just had another look.
Wed to Wed flights don't seem too bad, but other than that...ouch!

yeah got up another 20 quid for me ;s plus baggage !! mmmm i was hoping that they add more flights or something!! May have to book next week just in case 8) still worth it lol

As someone said the first week of June is school half term and the jubilee week. Thats why more of us want to leave the UK!

I have booked my putbound flight today at £103 plus £16 for a bag(just in case as 5kg hand luggage seems tight) so just got the return to book. Leaving at 0600 is perfect for me though love arriving with the whole day ahead of me at 0930 8) Had we book last week it would be of been £184 all in but now its £284! Ah well, will keep an eye out for a bargain for the return and hope for the best. In any case at least I am going there...... :D

£120ish for return flights from manchester the end of june! But baggage is nearly £50 on top of flight price!! Rip off!

Bones, I paid similar to that for my return flights early July and mid August from Manchester, its not too bad.

A few years ago that would have sounded like a proper bargain, we have become accustomed to getting flights for a pocket full of spare change. £170 for a 2 1/2 hour return flight (with cases) sounds reasonable to me in peak(ish) season. At least with the luggage, you have the option of trying to travel light with a only cabin bag?

Out of interest, how much of the £120 is taxes?

i know exactly what boney means. i wanted to buy a new range rover which was advertised at 25 grand but by the time i'd added dj decks, power shower and mink upholstery the price had risen to 65 gees. rip off

Well its the airlines way of avoiding putting the price of flights up instead they put up the price of baggage!

Those areflying at 6.30am i think and coming back at 11am? Cant remember, but we have had these flights before and they arnt that bad, i would rather leave the UK a bit later but the afternoon flights only thomas cook seems to do them? And they are well past £200 before baggage
