well Flights are finally booked, leaving Leeds at 12,20pm, 10th Sept arriving Ibiza 4pm, so I got my own way, jusy explained calmly to hubby getting an overnight flight wasnt a great idea, as we,d them have to pay expensive transfers, instead of getting a cheap bus straight from airport, right into San An bus station,
We fly back at a nice time as well, leave on 24th at 4,30pm, arriving back into Leeds 6,20pm,
lovely flight times, yayyyyyy
Now got to book a hotel for an extra night, as we,re at the Rosamar from 16th -23rd,
So can anyone recommend somewhere thats easy to get to the airport, on the 24th, for that flight, but somewhere thats not quite so touristy,
we,ve got a few changes of accommodation, while we,re in San An, so a night elsewhere wont bother us
we,ve nowgot all our accommodation confirmed and paid for , yayy.
We,re in Hostal Montana for 2 nights, Ibiza Rocks for 4 nights, and we,ll see Madness as the gig, :D:D:D
Then the 16th-23rd at Rosamar, so now we just need somewhere peaceful for the night of the 23rd,
This is weird for us, we normally go for 2 weeks all inclusive, in the same hotel,
but they say a change is as good as a rest,:lol::lol::lol:
Its hopefully going to be nice doing it a different way, as we,ll experience the shopping and cooking in Ibiza, as well as all inclusive in the Rosamar,
Where is the best supermarket to go to, thats easy to get to on the bus ?? instead of just using the smaller supermarkets in San An, or are all the supermarkets the same price, in and out of San An, a lot of smaller supermarkets in Britain, only sell the more expensive items, is it the same in Ibiza
thanks Heather x

Not sure of your budget, Heather, but if you fancy a treat and something really different and charming try the Boutique Hostal Salinas if you can get in for a night. Here's the website and a link to an independent Times review.

I've not stayed over there (tried a couple of times but have never managed to get a room as was always booked out by the time I knew my dates), but been a couple of times to the restaurant. The atmosphere is really lovely - walking in you feel everything suddenly relax completely, and the owners the most charming people. David is a DJ at Space. It's really handy for the airport (about the same distance as Ibiza Town but South rather than North-East of the airport. Far away from the madness of Playa d'en Bossa and the bustle of Ibiza Town.

Otherwise, one of the hotels in Talamanca might be a good option - and you'd be within strolling distance of the Fish Shack as an added bonus !

super markets

2 minutes walk from ibiza rocks hotel is syp super market..cheap. and also just around the corner is the hyper centro.. when you come around the bay 10 min walk on the top bay road brings you to suma super market,. and yes the small shops are dearer.. so jealous would love to go to madness gig, but i have to work.

turn right out of ibiza rocks and over the brow of the hill.syp is on the left side corner.carry on down hill and hyper is on the left corner again.thing is most sites only let you book 3 to 5 days.best just to turn up at a hotel.they must have a room set aside for walk in guests.
should be a little cheaper in sept.
i know the garbi in pdb was 109 euro a night for two.in july.

just looked at that hotel, it looks nice, but they prefer you to have a 5 night stay :cry:

Wouldn't be too put off by that - just e-mail them and see what they say. As they only have a few rooms they will inevitably have to juggle room allocations and will have gaps here and there to fill.

Gran Sol for example have a strict 3-night minimum stay policy and I got a room there for 1 night (then extended for another on arrival) last week.
