Well... i'm making my way to the island for the first time with 5 girls and 2 other guys this summer. We're all from Canada and staying in a villa called CASA LAGUNA. The description is: "Nestled in the hills overlooking the beautiful resort of Cala Tarida on the South West Coast of Ibiza"... we're just wondering if this is a nice area? The website is : www.casalagunaibiza.com.

its a beautiful area, but looks a bit remote. id suggest hiring a couple of cars to get the most out your trip, try http://www.hispacar.com for good price :)

Ps. You'll get some cracking sunsets down there. Have fun mate!

do you think the bed on the balcony increases or decreases the price? i'm interested to know how much you paid as the website is devoid of that all important information?

here's my tip. can verge at the end of the road does great pizzas to go

Well, apparently they've done some renovations. There's now 4 rooms instead of the three. We actually got a insanely good deal... so i'm really not sure what the regular price is. i'm a nightclub owner in Edmonton - AB CANADA and regularly have the DJ's such as Armin, Jules, Lashes, Corsten... etc... and was referred by one of them. I figured it would be pretty remote - i'm guessing DJ's like their privacy.

We'll be hiring 2 vehicles. How much is petro right now? I guess Paul Van Dyk is playing at CREAM the day after we arrive... is it adviseable to purchase Tickets in advanced? Is it usually sold out?

why not use your contacts to try and score guestlists? very blaggable.

you'll probably have to drive for a wee bit to get groceries, but i know theres an ace little supermarket nestled at the side of a windy road on the way to st josep de sa talaia. when you get to the T-junction with cala d'hort to your right, take a left and follow that road along for a bit. perhaps McRackin has a photo of this place? Probably 5-10 minutes drive from where you are judging by the picture of the villa.

you wont need to buy tickets in advance, but buying tickets off this site is a good idea.

i'll second phil on this. if you own the nightclub then you should be able to sort out VIP all the way. ferry corsten has been a cream regular for many years and armin has his own night at amnesia (called armada), so he'll defo be able to sort you out.

drop them a line.;) amnesia VIP is good fun8):D

Managed to sort out VIP for most of our stay... however - PVD has never been to the club - and i really don't know anyone from Cream. So.. i guess we'll just have to buy tickets... Thanks for all the help... if everyone in ibiza is as friendly as the people on this site, i'm pretty sure this is going to be a very unforgetable trip!

one thing i would add though, just because you have vip elsewhere for other nights, dont miss out on some special events elsewhere just cause you have free entry. dip your toes a bit further afield than the trance thang,, space doesnt have a trance night but its by far the best club on the island and the music policy varies between house and tech-house.

mind you are coming a long way for this trip!

I'm definately going to make an effort to see / do everything. We've got 2 weeks and I figure that's plenty of time to catch as much as possible. I enjoy Trance, but i'm a much bigger fan of house / electro... so i'm hoping we'll be able to catch Guetta at the **** Me I'm Famous nights <- Are they any good?

I've only had a chance to see PVD once so far - he never really plays Canada, so it's hard to ever see him. Plus, i've heard CREAM has an amazing atomosphere that you can hardly compare to any other night.

Hoping we can catch COX at one point on our trip as well. I've heard the booze cruise (shipwrecked) is pretty good as well?

To be honest, Im probably not the best man to ask

Guetta epitomises everything I detest about Dance music to be perfectly honest. Id rather gouge my eyes out with a biro than attend one of his FMIF parties. But a lot of folks dig it and its VERY busy.

I would recomend you check out We Love and Monza both at Space. MN2S at El Divino has good lineups (Watching the sun rise over Eivissa's port is one of my favourite island experiences yet ), as does Cocoon@Amnesia, although Ive never been to either nights. Thankfully gonna be there for Cocoon closing this September though 8)

Keep your ear to the ground nearer your trip cause this site is a goldmine for information on one offs and (sort of) secret parties.

Id avoid San An for clubbing, but dont be put off by horror stories you'll hear of pissed up Brits. They do populate the west end but its really just one very small area and theres some excellent bars to check out there for post sunset drinks before hitting the likes of Amnesia or Privilege.

I had some friends that went to CREAMSFIELDS last summer and said that there was TONS of fights. He said they were mostly pissed up brits. He's a fairly large guy and was traveling with 3 girls... i guess a big group started pushing him around and stealing the girls hats and trying to pick fights. I'd like the advoid these types of situations if possible... are there certain areas of the island that i should be aware of?

creamfields is notorious for trouble, to be honest, your unlikely to find that anywhere in ibiza

not saying everyone's holiday passes without incident. where there are masses of people under the influence of booze theres always that risk. like i said, people will warn you about san antonio, but dont be put off visiting it. you will meet lairy drunks on that side of the island, but 99% are just there having a good time like you are. i wouldnt worry about it.

if i had a villa and had just moved it up a price bracket with renovations i'd make sure everyone knew about it. i really can't believe any self respecting dj would want to stay here - the website's great, nice text and well set out - the villa is awful. we love the 70's it isn't! i wouldn't stay there and i'm old. you must have got the sweetest deal ever.

it doesn't matter if you don't know any one at cream, it doesn't even really matter if you don't know anyone connected to amnesia (altho the fact has run a night there will mean he can get you sorted easily)................just ask anyone you know, DJ or otherwise, and they should be able to get you VIPed for cream.

nah, no trouble in ibiza..........:D

Well Stephan, any suggestions? We need 4 rooms for 8 people at the price around 2500 EUROS. What do i know? i thought it looked decent? i'm a first timer.. this is why i'm posting.

no, sorry, no suggestions. i was just intrigued that someone had actually put a bed next to the fireplace on a balcony. 2500 isn't a bad price for what is a very old fashioned 3 and a half bedroom villa. but it really isn't a steal.

I am going to go all egalititarian. Sack the VIP, surely if people wanted a nice seat and table next to madonna they would just head to covent garden? its all about the hands in the air!:)
