First time solo traveller

Hi

I am not sure if i have posted this in the right area, but i am looking to go to Ibiza on my own at the end of September... and wondered if anyone could recommend any hotels which are good for solo travellers?

Also, would be great to just hear other people's experiences of going solo as never done it before so feeling a little nervous...

Hi Charlotte.

I really recommend the Ses Savines in San Antonio. It's friendly, the food is lovely and is a brilliant spot. Not in the madness but only a short walk to it.

Es pla in San an is also very good. Classy hotel with a noisy pool playing music and a chill pool.

Rooms have nice fixture level and there is even a small gym!

It's 2 min walk from bus station and egg so is really handy, but far enough away from the action.

There is also the Pacific hotel next door which is smaller but decent and clean.

As for going solo, you certainly won't be alone in ibiza in that regard. Do your own thing with bars and clubs and you'll find you'll just make bee random holiday friends regardless :)

Personally I like San an as there is the west end and sunset strip. However many people also stay in pdb which has a few of the big clubs nearby (space , ushuaia etc). It's all a matter of personal preference and cost tbh.

also, do you tend to book flights and accomodation seperately?

I always find you get a better overall price & flight times if you book each separately yourself as opposed to booking a package. It's more legwork, granted, but well worth it imo.

Although I do believe thst will affect your abta / atol protection if not part of a package.

Best check on that if it's a concern for you :)

Hi Charlotte
I've done ibiza solo a few times and I'd recommend staying in den bossa when solo. Huge beach with lots going on in the daytime from chilling at some of the quieter beach bars to the madness of bora bora. It's also a short bus or taxi from ibiza town, which is well worth a visit or salinas beach which is a great place to spend a day and quite near den bossa.

Did solo in San an 2 years ago. Only spent my last night alone (by choice, early flight and didn't want to go mad)

Stayed in Marina playa this time, will be back here again. Very nice and great location. Home for me in the morning

which hotel did you stay in?

good thing about going diy is you get to stay as long as you wish.i;ve done it loads of times.booking two airlines, home section time was later in the day so no rushing about.and you can get some good deals on hotels.hurry up on booking your break as flights will go up.and single rooms might not be there, min stay is 3 to 4 days in most hotels.pdb would suit you more.short taxi ride away from airport.try the algarb hotel in pdb.cheap right on beach always full of young people.shops right across road taxi rank near by and bus stop outside hotel.or if you flush there are other hotels.go for a/i if you can

Last time I stayed at the can bossa, it's just up from Sankeys and was pretty cheap but clean and had everything. If your not on a budget then I'd recommend the hotel garbi, it's a bit more central and is on the beach. You might pick up a decent deal for September and its a nice time to go.
