alright,

me and my mates are going on holiday next summer in 2007 and are thinking about going to ibiza. we want to try and make it cheap and don't care about which **** hole hotel we end up staying in, as long as we have a great time out there. i've had a look at the site but wanted to see if anyone had any personal views they could give me, it's our first time out and we want to make it one to remember. so can anyone give me any advice like if ibiza is still a good choice or what you think would be the best first holiday for us.

Depends what you are into, if you are in to serious clubbing then Ibiza is the ideal holiday destination. It is pricey although there are ways of cutting the costs. The superclubs will cost about £20-£35 to get in and drinks will range from £4 for water to about £12 for a vodka and red bull. The area that has the high concentration of bars which attract the british 18-30 type crowd is known as the west end, bars/clubs here are free to get in and drink prices vary from £2-8. Personally I think there are better locations for bar/club crawl 18-30 style holidays, like benidorm and Magaluf. The cheapest holidays are probably booked online looking for tour operators such as 18-30 or twenties.

Altho I'm not sure about the pub crawl that Alex mentioned, Ibiza is a very complet holiday resort where everybody fits in, from proper hardcore clubbers to families and people just looking for nice beaches and relaxing environement.

What I mean is that for you lads that want to go from bar to bar with cheap drinks there are mediterranian resorts which have nicer areas to do it in than ibiza's westend. The west end is extremely grotty compared to the likes of Benidorms "square."
