First time in Ibiza....

Hi all

We are coming to Ibiza on 12th Sept for the first time and staying in the Hotel Hawaii in San Antonio Bay. We have never been to Ibiza and dont really know what to expect. Does anyone have any info on the Hotel Hawaii and what is the cheapest way to get from the airport to the resort????

The Hawaii is a nice hotel in a good location, but with very cheesy evening entertainment until 11pm which is very loud - probably the loudest in the bay. Best to escape from this and hit the many bars on the promenade that runs into the bay. Bar Tulip is one of my favourites.

Cheapest way to get to the Bay from the airport is probably the new bus service but I've not tried that. I believe it's the no. 9 bus from outside arrivals, and I've heard it leaves at 0800 1000 1200 then 1700 1900 2100. You could book a transfer with Resorthoppa but you may wait around a while as they usually service several flights. I usually go for a taxi - costs around 25 euros to the bay.

We're arriving on the same day at about 10am local time and we're staying at Ses Savines which is just around the corner. Depending upon your arrival time we may be able to share a taxi? In any event, have a great time and perhaps see you in Bar Tulip!

I think the taxi will be the best option for us, we are landing at around 11.30am so probably miss you in the airport, maybe catch up with you in teh bar.
